They're fine of you get them on tap. Nothing special but they're not bad. Pretty good gateway beer to heavier stouts or porters.

The meme about "hurrr you can only get a proper pint in Ireland" does seem to be true as everywhere seems to not pull it right or have dirty lines or something and it often ends up tasting like beer mats. Love my Guinness, enjoy a Murphys but Beamish get the win every day of the week, it has a strong roasted coffee hit and hint of chocolate. Its so tasty and too easy to drink. Also love a pint of Caffreys but never see that ale about in the north anymore.
