I recently purchased kvass, baikal and tarkhun from a Russian supermarket for the first time. I had high hopes for them, unfortunately, the kvass tasted like sugary piss, I hated it and wouldn't buy it again, at least not that brand. I was really looking forward to the baikal though, I thought I was going to taste like pine, crisp and nice, yet after taking a sip, iwas left underwhelmed. It was by no means bad, it had a pleasant minty after taste to it, and subtle tones of pine, but I was expecting more, much more. I haven't tried the tarkhun yet, but my expectations are even higher than the kvass and the baikal, and I hope it actually ends up tasting like tarragon instead of sugary, syrupy goyslop. Ex soviet fags, explain yourselves, why doesn't baikal taste like pine and conifers? That stuff is really cheap and plentiful it's not like they couldn't afford to put it in.

>>21654727Both the baikal and tarkhun are chernogolovska, and on the label it says made in Uzbekistan, on the kvass it just says Russian kvass in Cyrillic, and it was made in Lithuania, do other ex soviet countries have better versions or is this it? They suck at branding and marketing too, they should make glass bottles shaped like soviet rockets with Easter eggs on it like the hammer and sickel or Lenin and Marx portraits.
