What are some fun foods, candies, drinks etc. to try out with family and friends?Every year I try to buy something like that, but I'm all out of ideas. We've tried pic related. This year I was thinking about buying the "worlds most sour candy" Black Death Mega Sour, but they're impossible to get where I live, and they don't ship here either.Same with durian fruit. I can get frozen, but the whole point would be to experience the famously awful smell. If you have any ideas please tell.

>>21656531Limburger cheese
>>21656531tl;dr
>>21656662Cram it.
>>21656531I've seen ghost pepper gummies somewhere. Or those harry potter mixed beans with apple and puke flavor.
>>21656531Have you tried miracle berries before? It’s a little pricey but the effect is interesting (sour tastes sweet for a little while)Also if you haven’t had Sichuan peppercorn it causes a tingling effect
>>21656531I immediately thought of Vat19

>>21656531This is the only thing that comes to mind
>>21656531>family and friendsWhat's that?
Has anyone here tried umeboshi before?Supposedly they are extremely sour/salty plums. Are they any fun?>>21657007Don't worry about it>>21656835That sounds absolutely foul. It's perfect, but not available here.>>21656774That's where I got the sodas. There's not much else there I'm interested in, such as the candies with bugs. >>21656569Also not available.>>21656695>ghost pepper gummiesI think we've tried enough hot things. I doubt there's much that can top the gummy bear and if there is, I won't be able to convince the others to join in. >harry potter mixed beans with apple and puke flavorWe've tried something similar already. Good fun>>21656770>Have you tried miracle berries before? We have. Also pretty fun, but not as impressive as I had hoped.>Also if you haven’t had Sichuan peppercorn it causes a tingling effectNever heard of it before, but it sounds interesting. Will look into it, thanks.
>>21657313>That sounds absolutely foul. It's perfect, but not available here.Had it recently, it tastes like someone bought a premade pizza dough, the factory forgot to add yeast, and u just splattered the cheapest Tiramisu dessert u can buy on it and toss it in the oven.
My brother keeps threatening to bring Surströmming to thanksgiving.
>>21656531You can go Polish.
>>21657347>My brother keeps threatening to bring Surströmming to thanksgiving.Wow, that could ruin the vibe just from smell alone, haha.I always bring one of my desserts "just to try it" each year. It might be pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust, or black walnut rum cake, some kind of rare fruit pie or an odd cookie shape. Nothing that was needed to complete the meal, just something extra like that. Rum balls/whiskey balls are easy, as is any alcholic cake no one was expecting. Harvey Wallbanger bundit anyone?
>>21656531those sodas would rot your teeth in a few nanoseconds and give you a fucking kidney stone thats the size of a beetle
>>21657637If your health is that bad that one bottle of soda will knock you out cold, you should unironically kill yourself to improve a gene pool significantly.
Jelly belly has a risk taking spinner game, I played it once and it was fun. Some of the gross flavors are actually gross so there's legitimate risk.
>>21657767>stinky sockswhere can i buy these in bulk
>>21657637They're not that bad. >>21657767Yeah this is the version of these we did. "Dead fish" was awful>>21657353Wtf. Well it kinda loses the impact if I make something from scratch instead of something pre-packaged. >>21657347Just don't open it inside... >>21657322Sounds about like what I imagined. Fuck I wish I could get it here now.
>>21656830Idgi
I'm considering citric acid + already sour things like Toxic Waste. Think that could be fun? Closest I can get to the Mega Sour I think
>>21656531>cotton candy grapes>pickle popsicles>ranch soda>extremely sour candy>ghost pepper chicken noodle soup>kangaroo jerky>bacon flavoured bubblegumThese are the ones off the top of my head
>>21656531>I can get frozen, but the whole point would be to experience the famously awful smell.I bought one of these frozen with an ex-Girlfriend going through a temporary "Raw Foodist" phase.Go ahead and get the frozen one, It won't disappoint as far as the brand of "Fun" you are going for.let it thaw in the fridge for 24 hours, and when you cut it open it will smell like raw sewage and dirty diapers. She wouldn't even try it.I'm told different ones have somewhat different flavors, but this one tastes kinda like smoked banana pudding, but the small and mouthfeel are really offputting. We pitched it into the compost pile, that night there were raccoon gang fights all night long, and the next day there was nothing left of it but the hockey puck sized seeds. She went back to eating normal vegetarian food after that.>>21657313These are excellent in jelly doughnutsIf you are looking for extreme tasting foods, I'm surprised no one has mentioned salmiakki, a Nordic salted liquorice. It's NOT what you think, the salt is Ammonium chloride, and it's possible to buy them at a specialty shop or online.Get the coins, the octopuses or the skulls. Sockerbit seems to be out of stock.
>>21661019Another option is fizzy candies like Pop Rocks and Zotz. You could try adding a non-mint cooling effect to candies by coating in erythritol granules, might be interesting for stuff like cola gummies
