It's not very ripe, is it?
Plus, the cultivation method looks sloppy.
Was it grown in China?

North American grocery stores just can't stop themselves from selling half ripe produce, can they?

First of all I'm not American. Second, here's a piece of information for you: you can buy green produce and leave it on your counter until it gets ripe enough for you to eat. There is no reason for you to buy every type of produce at the peak of ripeness, that's how people end up with fruit and vegetables that rot away and they throw it in the trash, because they believe they have to buy it very ripe, which they don't.

I bought a couple a few months ago, they're great. Pricey, though, but nowhere near $4 a fruit. They tasted like those tiny, super-sweet mandarins, but big. Also super easy to peel. Wish my local store kept carrying them.
