it's definitely a side dish rather than a whole meal unto itself, but my mushrooms were going to go bad so I had to use them.

also I hit the sauce the last couple evenings so I'm completely depleted of sodium and amino acids so this is probably hitting the spot for me.

I also have slow cooker corned beef cooking so it's gonna be a salty day. I will return later and post corned beef dinner.

I should pick up some frozen mushrooms, whenever I get fresh I never make them before they go bad, mostly because I don’t like cleaning them.

Why is it that every other type of produce needs to be washed in case of fecal contamination but the instructions for mushrooms are “just brush the dirt off lol”?

I always rinse off my mushrooms under a cold tap, I think the 'mushrooms absorb the water' thing is a myth.

yeah I considered freezing mine before they went off (if I was going to cook them anyway it woudln't ruin the texture too badly), but slow freezing is not as good as snap freezing and also my freezer is pretty full, so I just ate that shit
