Any good rice krispy brands out there? I love this snack but it's just too sweet, the things in the blue package
>make it yourself
I don't want to

I made this shit when I was like six years old how fucking lazy are you
>>
>>21664881
No, you did not.
>>
how about just eating a bowl of the cereal
>>
>>21664887
Yeah I was six when my mom and dad started teaching me to cook, I made some for my seventh birthday party, I remember
It's got three ingredients, cereal, margarine, and marshmallows
I made some for a school bake sale with a different kind of cereal (Cocoa Pebbles) and thought I was Jaques Pepin

How's the starbucks ones? I usually make these just after christmas with leftover bags of festive marshmellows. Pretty easy to make
>>

Annie's might be up your alley.

You can't melt marshmallows? Dude it ain't that hard. You can control the sugar level that way.
>>
>>21666545
don't want to melt marshmallows simple as

I've never had any but those I make myself precisely because I don't want some sort of gutter oil in my treats.

you can't buy or make rice krispy treats without making them really sweet.
>>
>>21664887

>mom i'm hungry
>hungry for what
>MASHED POTATOES
>do you want to make them by yourself
>I DO
>ok, you have to follow the directions
>MASHED POTATO DIRECTIONS
And that's how it all starts.
t.mom had a box of potato flakes

>I don't want to

yes you do. the secret to the problem you present is adding a cup or two of CRUSHED RIDGED LAY POTATO CHIPS in the rice krispy treat mix. you wind up with a salty and sweet version of rice krispy treats. it's perfect, only topped by peanut butter rice krispy treats (same rice krispy treat recipe except with a couple spoons of peanut butter)
>>
>>21666550
Just microwave the marshmallow until it puffs up, then mix in the krispies really quickly (I used to do this as a kid)
>>
>>21666550
Then you are doomed to a life of mediocre rice krispy treats.

>6 years old
>my 7th birthday
Which one is it, Obama?!
>>
>>21667912
this. the entire recipe is literally:

1. microwave 1/3-1/2 cup of butter for a minute in an oversized mixing bowl
2. toss in 40 regular sized marshmallows, microwave for 2 minutes
3. mix in 6 cups of rice krispy cereal (plus optionally 1/3 cup of peanut butter, or replace 1 cup of rice krispy with 1 cup of crushed plain ridge lay potato chips)
4. press into a tray and refridgerate

My first thing I cooked was scrambled eggs with velveeta cheese, the way my mom made them. she showed me once, and I have made them basically like that even now. I was quite shocked to learn in the 5th grade that other people did not put cheese in their scrambled eggs.
