recently discovered guacomole is healthy with virtually no bad ingredients. Same for hummus.

My brain cannot comprehend this. Something as delicious and dank as these foods cannot be allowed to be so void of unhealthy ingredients.

Any other foods/dips like this? My mind still cannot comprehend...

Well context is always important.

If you are making it from scratch sure but if you are eating store baught you are ingesting a bunch of preservatives and garbage filler.

Just be careful of the calories OP. Something I enjoy is mashed brussels sprouts with lemon juice.

they're both very calorie dense and therefore likely to lead to fat gain

Peanut butter is alo great.

>>21666789
Homemade guac is so much better than anything you get even at mexican restaurants it's not even funny, and you can make it as spicy as you like to your own tastes. Only hassle is you need to make sure your avocados are properly ripe and your tomatoes are good.

Guacamole has a lot of fat, salt, and calories, so you at least need to make sure you're not getting too much of any of those things in your diet. Otherwise yeah, it's not nearly as unhealthy as similarly tasty things are.
>>
>>21666979
Poor brown tastelet hands typed this
>>
>>21667004
>Guacamole has a lot of salt
None of the ingredients in guac is particularly high in sodium, so it only has as much salt as you put in it.

The opposite, poor brown people would obsessively say "no no no u gotta go to my family's failing taco truck/mexican restaurant, you can't just make it at home it won't be AUTHENTIC" because those sort get mighty touchy about people making their traditional foods as if only they have a right to make and serve them without "appropriating" them or whatever when they see white people do it. Hope that helped, minority.

Not op, this is a good point. I eat it with eggs on bread (I use bagels). I also eat it in a tortilla with beans and meat. I'm not the biggest fan of eating it with rice and fish like sushi, but it isn't at all disgusting.

So any other grainy foods that aren't fried like a chips would be good. Sandwiches and the like

>>
>>21668271
Yes, polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) are generally considered beneficial for health.
Benefits of Polyunsaturated Fats:
Reduce risk of heart disease: PUFAs, particularly omega-3 fatty acids, can lower levels of "bad" LDL cholesterol and increase levels of "good" HDL cholesterol, reducing the risk of heart disease.
Improve brain function: Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for brain development and cognitive function.
Support cell growth and repair: PUFAs are building blocks for cell membranes and play a role in various cellular processes.
Regulate blood clotting: Omega-6 fatty acids are involved in blood clotting and inflammation.

No one on this site is old enough to have issues with sodium intake. Sure, you can eat guacamole on deep-fried, cheese-covered TexMex garbage, but you don't have to.
Fry your own chips; it's easy. Omit the salt if you really care.
Someone who takes the care to make their own guac is less likely to just eat it with unhealthy shit.
>>
>>21667567
So? Does that mean A-1 steak sauce or ketchup are not vegetarian because of how they're primarily used?

>>21667551
Fuck yes! Red Alert 2; best RTS ever made. And I'd give mashed brussels a whirl. Especially if they were roasted. But it is weird seeing as they're little cabbages. Never had a cabbage paste.
"High speed, low drag."
>>
>>21668267
Yes it does. You aren't going to store fat if you don't eat more than you burn. You're suggesting people cannot regulate their intake.

I don't trust AI for anything at all. It would take like ten years of zero mistakes for me to give it another chance. People are already treating it just like they did with Google, where the results are taken as gospel without further research. Chatgpt is an aggregator, and it combs the stupid internet for answers, not only science journals and theses from the intelligentsia. Every backwards, dishonest post is lumped in there and they murk the waters of truth.
It's only going to get worse. People a generation younger than me don't even possess the critical thinking skill to parse the truth from the lies.

Technically that is "loaded guacamole", actual guac is just pureed hass avocado with some parm sprinkled on it. Loaded guac has pico de gallo shoved together with guac.

Just a lesson from actual Mexico. Love em both though.

>>21666891
Depends on the store. If packed right it won't need preservatives.

>>21666979
Depends on the place. The ones that make it in front of you make it just fine. I don't think I've actually had a bad guac before, that is usually good at most places (it better, its so damn simple).
>>
>>21667004
>Guacamole has a lot of fat, salt, and calories
Good fats, NO salt if made traditionally, and the loaded version is only supposed to have a crack or two / pinch of salt (the fuck are you adding, spoonfuls?). The calories are worth it. Its just a pain to time avocados for peak ripeness, making it something you have to make the day you shop for shit, OR hope the bag you got ripen together. Or cheat like I do and use tubs of guac.
>>
>>21666789
>Any other foods/dips like this?
Homemade pesto (something like: garlic, basil leaves, parmesan cheese, pine nuts, olive oil and salt in a proper mortar n pestle) is top tier. Raw garlic retains a bunch of healthy stuff that's lost with cooking, and it's a great vehicle for that on top of the mountain of polyphenols and whatnot.
>>
>>21671202
No cheese added is real guacamole.
>>
>>21671202
