What is the weirdest taste/food combo you enjoy?I love dipping my bananas in ketchup. I also enjoy the taste of shortbread with no vanilla which is just flour, butter, and sugar.

>>21667220I don't think most of the foods I eat or flavor combinations are that weird, but I think that sweet goes well with fried egg (assuming no additions like onion). I sometimes eat a fried egg on a toast with a thin layer of a red fruit based marmelade between. Honey also works, but specifically red fruit like strawberry or raspberryare best in my opinion. Also spiced plum.Another thing that's unusual I suppose is eating dates with salt and pepper. Sometimes I just add salted peanuts to them. Then again sweet and salty isn't that unusual I suppose.Lastly I sometimes remake a pizza that existed at my hometown pizzeria when I was a kid: the "hot and cold". Make a pizza (toppings up to you, but it should have a good amount of meat) and while it cooks, make a decent amount of shredded iceberg lettuce. Add a dairy based sauce to that lettuce optionally other salad additions like olives, tomato and feta. When the pizza is freshly done (the heat matters here) and a little too hot still, add the lettuce mixed with the dressing on top and eat like that. The contrast in flavor, temperature and texture is very strong which I like. All 3 of these are "weird" but once people try them they usually get it.

>>21670246No you don't
>>21670245Oh, say can you see..
>>21669264Barely.I used to do that as a kid sometimes, but it only really makes sense if it's very low quality mashed potatoes to begin with (from those instant flakes) and you have a too large portion of it so you want to switch things up. The tomato and acidity does change it enough to feel different but I wouldn't call it better really. Doing so with a well made quality mash would utterly ruin it.
