Why does NJ reign supreme with its amount of diners? Why don't other states have "This Town Diner"?

The suburban communities in NJ predate the franchise fast food boom and diners were an early prefab restaurant concept that gave rise to what eventually evolved into modern fast food

Love me a good diner. I can always depend on them for my solo Thanksgiving every year. We still have a few left in NYC.
New Jersey is literally hell on earth. Most people can picture lots of reasons new Jersey sucks. It's crowded, it's a NYC suburb, it's filled with Italians, the weather sucks, ect. And these are all valid reasons to hate the place. But it's all the little things that add up to make it surreal hellscape. Like you can't even pump your own gas.
