Do you use MSG? And if so how often? Because I'm throwing that into every meat and fish dish.
>>
I put it in everything. It's just so good.

I snort it like fine cocaine.
>>
yeah. same as you, in anything meaty. pulled pork? msg. refried black beans? msg. homemade cream of mushroom soup for a casserole? msg. I don't like it in things that are just cheesy, but if it's meaty it's going in. I just have it in a spice shaker and shake some in, I've never bothered measuring it
>>
I just use a 70:30 salt:msg mix for all my savoury cooking needs

Only for fried chicken which I haven't made in a while

No you don't. You masturbate to cartoon depictions of questionably aged girls.

Powdered umami. No I dont use it. I use natural sources of umami. Thank you very much.

It's made from seaweed I thought
>>
>>21669629
Not anymore. It's made with bacteria. Traditionally it is made with a specific type of seaweed.
>>
>>21669629
Well... there was no "traditional" msg, but it was discovered by evaporating a broth made with seaweed.
>>
>>21669657
There is traditional MSG. It's called dashi.
>>
>>21669704
Dashi is a liquid that contains high levels of both glutamate(kombu) and guanylate (dried bonito flakes). The combo is synergistic and tastes way better than simple msg powder + water.
I wouldn't really call it traditional msg as much as I would call parmesan, miso paste, soy sauce, fish sauce, etc also traditional msg.
>>
>>21669716
That's because you're a moron. The Japanese chemist who first discovered and isolated MSG was directly inspired by the rich, savory flavor of dashi. He wondered why such a simple broth was so delicious and went from there. Without dashi there would be no MSG.

poor people are disgusting

Fuck no thats cheating in the most lsme wsy, like using a penis extender. MSG has stale, flat, unidimensional flavor, it overpowers everything with its shitty tang. What about concocting cooking alchemy to make special ingredients mix naturally develop full unique flavor? Youd rather the penis extender right?
>>
same, I also don't use salt because it's cheating. bring out the flavors naturally you cheating fools!
>>
Whats with zoomers defending this trash? They also love artificial sweeteners. Bluepilled creeps.
