I have had a bad lactose intolerance all my life but two years ago found lactose pills that would allow me to enjoy things I haven't since I was a wee lad like ice cream, alfredo/cream base sauces, and biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately, not even the pills work anymore. I have tasted the good life of dairy and now must live without it again. I wish I never even took them so I could keep living in ignorance of how good dairy stuff is.

It's over.

Why cant you just remove the lactose from the things you want to eat?
Is this an enzyme problem with your intestinal bacteria? Have you considered that thing where you put someone else's poop up there to gain their bumteria?
>>
>be perfectly able to digest lactose
>stop eating it, slowly starving the gut bacteria that consume and process lactose for you
>hm, I'm not as good at digesting lactose anymore
>I know, I'll shove pills down my gullet that break down lactose, further depriving my lactose-processing gut bacteria of their food source
>oh no, my problem is somehow getting worse!

what did they do for you
or what happens when you eat lactose

heckin' based.

People who aren't lactose intolerant naturally produce lactase. If you rely on your gut bacteria to digest lactose then you're not actually lactose tolerant
>>

eat more lactaid dummy or buy the xtra strength. Did you even read the package?

Just use lactose free milk and cheeses. Buy lactose free ice cream. Then shut up
>>
It's probably not so much the lactose, but the other shit you're gut is reacting to.

>ice cream, alfredo sauc/cream based sauces

Frozen dairy desserts, you mean? Jarred sauces are loaded with a bunch of shit too. It could be the seed oils. Read the ingredient labels.

But then again, it could be plain allergic reaction to whey and casein (dairy proteins).

yeah they don't work on me either.

nah I am very watchful on this shit. even the lactose free enzyme I got has minimal ingredients. I just can't digest it either way

they sell milk without lactose in it.

if guys are still having discomfort even on high doses of lactaid, you might want to go get checked for casein allergy. I have a friend who can't even have lactaid because he's allergic to the protein in milk.

I have never felt a strongest and longer lasting need to throw up than after taking lactase pills. My stomach never felt to convex, it was incredible in a way.

Well, you can try limiting your lactose intake to just milk itself to make sure: down a couple of pills and drink a glass of whole, 2%, or whatever you prefer. That way you isolate any of the additives found in jarred sauces and frozen dairy dessert and make sure those weren't the cause.

If you're able and willing and a little mad, you could try something like this out: https://youtu.be/J3FcbFqSoQY
He also posted an update 2 years later. He said his tolerance slowly faded, but it did work, and even after 2 years, he was better able to tolerate lactose than he had been previously.
