Costco food isn't that good
>>
>>21669253
yah, costco is another victim of post covic enshitification. Now it's just another large and overpriced grocery/goods stores a bit like Roblaws here in Canaderp.
on another note, who is this handsome man in your picture? Seems familiar...
>>
My friend works at Costco and they get everything from Sysco.
Did you really think Costco was "making food" for you?
>>
>>21669258
>enshitification
go back
>>
i love the rotisserie chicken
>>
In my area I can get great quality meats from costco for the price that local supermarkets charges for shit only it's in bulk
I like coscto
>>
>>21669253
it was never good, it was just cheap
>>
>>21669284
It is a loss-leader and therefore potentially still worth it.
>>
>>21669282
I browse Reddit regularly. Stay mad bitch.

I have a great uncle or whatever I never learned the designations but even today he kinda looks like Hitler and when he was 35ish he looked EXACTLY like Hitler. And that side of the family is German their name is Harm.

I wonder if I'm related to Hitler.

Chicken bakes are really funny they're like salad for fat people with bread instead of lettuce
The proper way to shop at Costco is to go in through the back with no membership card, take multiple of every sample, then leave.

the produce in costco has gotten so exceedingly shit, it's always damaged and moldy the day after or is hiding it behind a sticker on the packaging. i've lost so much money throwing away stuff
eggs stock is still a complete shitshow for them somehow, i just want some organic eggs and it's completely random if they have any or not.
the only things left that i consistently get is meat which is still alright i guess. except for their "fresh poke". i had it once and got food poisoning. very cool.

>>21669253
you don't enjoy a boiled frankfurter? or chicken bake that somehow has 90% of your sodium intake in it? or overpriced sandwiches? or ice cream that is more like soft serve yogurt that will blow you up if you actually finish it? or perhaps a fruit smoothie that'll make you diabetic?

while it's a tragedy, at least the pizza still exists and is a pretty good option
how the fuck did they replace the churro with a shitty cookie man. it wasn't the best churro out there but it still scratched the itch. then they replace it with some mega dookie sized cookie that nobody under 400lbs would be able to actually finish. that thing could feed a family of 5.

>>21669253
I don’t like their prepared deli food at all, expensive and tastes low quality

>>21670196
>the produce in costco has gotten so exceedingly shit, it's always damaged and moldy the day after
I saw yesterday they’d installed some huge air filters in the refrigerated produce walk in, I’m hoping the helps with the mold issue

It used to be above average, now its dog shit. I go to Sam's now, instead.

>I go to Sam's now, instead
Sam's has always been better. This recent surge in Costco popularity is the result of a long running reddit circlejerk. Costco is only good if you want clothes, travel discounts, and the ability to tell people you went to Costco.

Sam's is better if you like food. Simple as.

Sam's was, and still is, just Walmart in bulk. So it used to be worse than Costco. But Costco has fallen so far now, that even Walmart-tier meat/produce looks good by comparison.
>>
Costco is the nearest grocery store for me. Plus I have the executive membership and their credit card. So I get 4% cash back on every purchase there. Why would I go anywhere else when I can get 3 times the amount of cereal for the same price as a regular box at a grocery store? Costco is super cheap and better than many other places out there.
>>
>>21670480
>Costco is only good if you want clothes
99% of the crap there nowadays is polyester or really poorly made.
i grew up in my teens getting shirts and button ups from there, its nowhere near the same as 10 years ago.
Also if it happens to be a "premium brand" product I have my suspensions that it's like a similar situation to places like tjmaxx, where it's a specifically lower quality version of the product or run offs that didn't meet certain QC requirements.
in order to give the customer the perception of a "good deal" the bar just keeps getting lowered and lowered exponentially
>>
>>21670776
>where it's a specifically lower quality version of the product or run offs that didn't meet certain QC requirements
Yeah, Sam's Club got me with this shit a few times. I bought some Gap sweaters and they were terrible quality. The Eddie Bauer stuff I got there was also suspiciously low quality, too.

Their store brand work pants are nice though. But they make you look like a fucking dad.

>>21670768
>spend $8 on a produce at costco
>save 4% (32 cents)
>half of it is moldy by the time you get to it, have to throw it away
>lose $4
it's not a good deal unless it's boxed or frozen slop
the only thing saving that card is gas making membership fees nonexistent.
>>
>>21669282
I don't care if Cory Doctrow is reddit (and he is very much proto reddit- his dumb hacktivist books have all the hallmarks of 2012 programmer xkcd guy nonsense), the term is apt.
>>
>>21669253
>and it won't be good again until there are premium member exclusive hours/days

>>21670480
I’d never the buy it the palettes of food they sell exclusively for 16 person non English speaking Mexican households and would not wear the cheap garments made by slaves.
>>
>>21670480
A quarter of my wardrobe is from costco.
