Is it true that New Haven style pizza is taking the pizza industry by storm right now?

What is all of my fellow 4chan forum posters and compadres thoughts on New Haven style pizza?

I don't think that's happening or will happen.

Lived in CT for 9 years, had plenty of this style. It's not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Went to all the big places in New Haven plus Zuppardi's over in West Haven.

My only problem is that I dine alone and leftover pizza gets annoying to me after the second day no matter how good it is. I wish it were viable to offer this stuff by the slice.

It’s about the coal oven really, so it’s not easy to replicate.

It’s a pretty wet, slack, medium gluten dough, without much rise in the cornice. They actually use pic related for flour. Raw San Marzanos are the sauce, I think. No herbs. I think there is some pecorino, EVOO and I’m not sure what brand of wmlm mozz they use.
