Thots? I make two loaves of sourdough a week and even an offset serrated bread knife is getting annoying since thin slices just aren't possible.
white people get mad at me for having a machine to cook rice and then they come up with shit like this to take up space on their counter
>>21676507Im mad at you because without with rice cooker you cannot cook rice. I can slice bread without that.
>>21676502post crumb
>>21676508>I can slice breaddoubt.exe
>>21676511Youre mad because you know its true. You are so bad at cooking boiling water is troublesome
>>21676514I'd bet good money that you need a special "bread knife" to cut bread because you don't maintain your tools
>>21676515Remember, fire is hot, dont touch it with your fingers.
>>21676517Knives are sharp. Present company excepted, of course
I had a very similar, if not identical, machine 20+ years ago. I owned and operated a sandwich cart so it made sense for me to have one because it saves a LOT of time when you're slicing 10+ loaves daily with people waiting for their bready-stacks.If you feel you want it, get it. That's all the justification you need.>>21676507Not exactly 1:1 but I see your point. I'm a demichino myself and my family never used a rice cooker because my gran was too old and too rural to have grown up with one but I'm now married a more Asian-y Asian than I am and we use a rice cooker now. We've got three, ffs. I still prefer cooking rice on the hob, though.
>>21676508Hilarious how anti-rice cooker people keep going on about how incredibly easy it is to cook rice and yet at the same time assume everyone who has a rice cooker is completely unable to do it. So fucking stupid lmao
>>21676502Couldn't you also just slice other things with this?
>>21676502>even an offset serrated bread knife is getting annoying since thin slices just aren't possible.Really? is your knife floppy and thin? Are you using a bread fork to hold the loaf or your hand
>>21676536>bread forkIs this real?
>>21676542
>>21676535With a manual one probably not. I was looking into electric deli slicers but it seems like they would be way too much of a pain to clean, even if I was mostly only using it for bread.>>21676536You're not getting consistent sandwich bread thin cuts on sourdough with just a knife.
>>21676502Sourdough, nasty stuff there. Kind of these glazed footballs with an impossibly hard exterior, almost glassy, and a rotten, reeking underdone dough inside. You can keep that Jewish garbage.
If you want one just for bread buy an electric one from lidl for 20 euros this is how I cut my bread after failing to make a diy manual cutting guide
>>21676508Apparently not. This literally a skill issue. The skill missing might be keeping the knife straight and even pressure to not deform the bread, or it might be the ability to sharpen your dull serrated knife.
>>21678191You can make a perfectly good slice with a non serrated knife as long as you keep it sharp but zoomers think taking care of your shit is "tryhard" and "cringe" and "for the anime weebs" and it's 2025 we only care about korea now grandpa
i ll never understand how or why the electric ones cost 1/4th of those manual ones why cant chinks make one billion of those for like 15 bucks i bought a manual meat grinder for 9 euros from lidl so this should cost around the same
