Pork chops
Frying pan is the worst way to cook pork chops.
>>21676974As a kid, shake n bake pork chops and sides was a good night.Shitty tomato juice goulash was the worst.
>>21677006heh watch this kiddo
>>21677006I assume you've only had bad pork chops?
final product, sauce is basically reduce apple juice with butter and mustard
>>21677044Only when they come out of a frying pan. Oven and the BBQ do a far better job.
>>21677049Damn OP, looking mighty fine, just needs a cross-section
>>21677071Nah, cook em like steaks, hot and high after a long, low reverse sear
>>21677078I already ate them, but I can assure you they were cooked all the way throughdid a 15 min steam sesh with the sauce on low heat after searing
>>21676974If you got your non-stick hot enough to give it that much of a scorch then you are eating chemicals 100%. Good luck with you cancer.
>>21677086I'll trust you this time, but I'm watching you
>>21677090>you are eating chemicalsin your mind, what does chemicals mean exactly?
>>21677095Yeah yeah I get it "Uhmm ackchewally everything is a chemical made of compounds! I'd like a nice glass of fresh H20 Please sir!"But the teflon leeches off of non-stick pans past a certain temperature and is a known carcinogen.
>>21676974>>21677049Looking good OP.I failed to cook the fat enough to make it delicious, I was afraid of overcooking the meat but I really should have took the time to sear the fat sides individually. Live and learn.
>>21677104You used your breville sear & press grill?
>>21677090>eating chemicals 100%that would really fuck you up.
>>21677140I used a grillpin
If u wanna go all out with your chop. 3/4 cup apple juice, two cut up apples in chunks, small amount brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, reduce in sauce pan for about 30-45 minutes on simmer around 25 min add salt, stone ground mustard and or mustard powder, small amount chipotle seasoning, small amount smoked paprika, reduce until final time . Let cool and u got a good chop marinade
>>21677078NPC detected. Generic bot reply. A real person wouldn't hype up overcooked pork chops. >>21677049I hate when poor people try to cook.
>>21677172And it shows. How do you people fuck up something as basic as pork chops? I swear you people are actually retarded.
>>21677343>tfw
>>21677368this was before I came across the trick of using a cast iron pan to weigh down chops and steaks, which would have helped. Also I really need a gas stove, I can't control the heat properly with my rusty hotplates
>>21677372You can also let your pork Warm up before cooking, like steak. Personally I dont use weights. Pork chops over a half inch I cook like a steak of similar size. As in, letting it warm up and taking time to cook it on a pan and/or transferring it into an oven. Though I primarily cook chops like that on my grill, and if not I cook them in a dish in the oven with stock/cream/ etc. but what you made looks good and I'd eat it, hopefully no rust though lol
>>21676974>Pork chopsYep. Massively overcooked ones at that.
>>21676974more like pork slop
>>21677388I did have them out awhile to warm up a little, maybe not room temp though. I glazed one with mint jelly and it was very nice. And no, just the stove is rusty, my cooking implements are immaculatté
>>21677486Hell ya man, nah never go true room temp with pork. Awesome photo. I fucking hate mint but that's just personal preference but I'm sure it was tasty
>>21676974Those look good, Anon. Congrats. They'd go well some mashed potatoes.
>>21677486>>21677172>>21677104Uneven browning>>21677049BurntDon’t ever question me again when it comes to pork.
>>21677572>Don’t ever question me again when it comes to pork.
>>21677102Then fucking say that you dumb fuck
>>21676974Modern pigs are too inbred and disease ridden to be edible. Enjoy op
>>21677006What's with all the idiotic contrarian posts lately??It's one of the BEST ways to cook pork chops. What the actual fuck?
>>21677805Open flame
>>21677343lol, you're that dude who's been trolling cooking threads. "Poor people", huh? Show us your fridge, your kitchen, your cooking achievements, faggot. You always pick threads where people are clearly cooking good food too. Like you want to be the most off-base as possible. You're a very ineffective troll. Calling people NPC and bot is a new level of faggotry for you though. Like you're trying to be as unpleasant as possible.
>>21677006It's the best way to do bone in chops you retard. I'm sure you've fucked up $10 in Dollar store boneless pork chop cutlets to come to that conclusion though.
>>21677805Not contrarian at all. I eat pork 4 times a week and the best ways to cook pork are on a wire rack or on the BBQ.
>>21677824Shut the fuck up cooklet.
>>21677049>>21677078OPfaggot replying to himselfyou burnt that shit hardjust order from doordash in future
I cook porkchops in my airfryer ;)
>>21679122same, pork tenderloin too
>>21678931Where's your porkchop
>>21677809anon cooking his pork chops on a stick over a campfire
>>21679135An open fire is going to have a weak flame, incomplete combustion and you get creosote and ash on your food. Which is why you cook on the coals of a camp fire.I use a rocket stove. Picrel, to be exact.
>>21679295but it's fun to sit in front of an open firehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmPY2p6XaEQ
>>21679298Oh yes. Definitely. But not cooking. Your clip is from a movie, people didn't cook like that back in the day.
>>21679308yeah I know. I am accustomed to cooking over colios
>>21678901>my favorite way is objectively the best!Condolences on being incorrect again.
>>21679312Clearly you couldn't wait for the flames to die down. You like that black crust, do ya?
>>21679298There's nothing more pathetic than the glaring look and tinny sound of someone recording their fucking TV in lieu of a proper clip capture. Sad. I'd rather just not see it than see it like that.
>>21679324no other version is currently available. I'll work on it.>>21679321yeah we were very drunk and hungry
>>21679319>my favorite way is objectively the best!Yes. Obviously.

>>21676974Pork chops and pork itself are traditions here in Iowa. There's even a particular thick chop called an "Iowa Chop". There's a local chain of restaurants here called The Machine Shed (used to be called the Iowa Machine Shed) that's always done a great pork chop.
>>21676974>>21677049that's real nice lookin
