White places that have spiced food:
- southern Italy (literally spicy in some Arab-influenced dishes)
- Louisiana, if you don't attribute their innovations to Blacks, Hispanics, and indigenous Americans
- the Caucasus
- Hungary
- Romania
- every Muslim country if you use the US Census definition of white (kek)

Latin American places that have bland food:
- Argentina
- Bolivia
- Brazil, arguably
- Chile
- Colombia, arguably
- Cuba, notoriously
- any country colonized by England, like Belize or Guyana (Jamaica is the only exception, their food is notoriously spicy)

Asian places that have bad food (assume a standard where "great" cuisines like Indian, Chinese, and Thai are hailed)
- Mongolia
- the 5 post soviet "stan" countries, debatably
- Bhutan
- the Philippines if you don't like salt or flavor
- the entire Arab peninsula, potentially controversially
- Siberia (even the European part of Russia doesn't know how to dine)
- Taiwan, literally just stuff stolen from Fujian and Japan
- Israel, perhaps controversially (guess why), though "haha Jews are white and white people can't eat spice" wouldn't actually apply here since again, Arabia has the same problems

African countries that have any cuisine to speak of:
- all of north Africa, though some say the stereotype only applies to sub-Saharan Africans (and that north Africans aren't white)
- all of west Africa (literally where the US picked up its slaves)
- Ethiopia
- maybe Mozambique
>>
Mini examples:
- Gujarat (W India): pretty non spicy food (and most vegetarian in all of India)
- West Bengal, Bangladesh: don't have food too spicy, but very sweet and carb heavy
- Bikol, Philippines: one of the less bad regions for food, it has quite spicy food
- NE India: not much of a cuisine, but a lot of what they do have is like pork salad and bugs; I'd say the country their cuisine is most similar to is Cambodia
- Inner Mongolia, Tibet: the only 2 regions of China which have lactose tolerance (including goat and yak milk and milk products)
- Historical example: Georgia, Armenia (already mentioned under Caucasus), and Azerbaijan (debatable whether they're white since they're Muslim) used to be the only parts of the USSR with good food

Forgot to clarify for the sake of neutrality I'm a Chinese American who lives in New Jersey. I am NOT an Indian or even Indian American, kek.

Michelin starring is a pretty poor way to gauge how good a nation's cuisine is, since it's biased so heavily towards French and Western European cuisine and standards. It started as a way for a tire company with a fat mascot to trick drivers into driving more so they'd wear out their tires faster. If Michelin starrage were actually objective about how objectively good the food and service is, there'd be a hell of a lot more Michelin stars in Asia, and a hell of a lot fewer in France.

IMO french cuisine is the most overrated fucking cuisine in the world.

I ain't reading all that shit.

I think generalising entire cuisines as good or bad is really retarded and close minded.
All countries have good food. Usually its more about the skill of the chef than the cuisine.

>bland food
Stopped reading here. When people use the term "bland" you can throw their opinion in the trash. You base you entire opinion of food on spice levels. People who need everything to be spicy have defective taste buds. I would never ruin an expensive cut of meat and bury it's actual flavor under cheap powdered spices. You don't understand or actually enjoy food. You enjoy the taste of powder more than the taste of food. You need to grow up and pull your head out of your ass.

tbqh lots of Chinese hate the British too because of the Opium Wars starting the century of humiliation

Also agree on Michelin stars. They're biased, not objective, and they only give out stars to places where they have done a Michelin guide. It wasn't long ago that the only places in the USA with Michelin stars were in NYC/Chicago/SF/LA, two years ago Texas didn't have a Michelin guide while Colorado did.

>"great" cuisines
>Indian
>>
>>21678749
Every one of those dishes has potatoes or tomatoes. All of which came from conquering the world.
>>
>>21679474
Yes and no. Obviously the idea that everything needs to taste like the exact same spice mix is ridiculous. But I think the bland meme comes from a lack of variety. Take british staples as an example: fish & chips, bangers & mash, sunday roast, pies, etc. None of these dishes are bad on their own, they are all warmy, hearty dishes that fill your soul on a cold day. The problem is that all of them have a near identical flavor profile, making british cuisine as a whole rather uncreative
>>
>>21678749
>non-spicy Guyana
Yeah no, the majority of their everyday dishes are Indian
>>
>>21683132
>The problem is that all of them have a near identical flavor profile
Oh dear tastlet detected.
>>
>>21678749
>White places that have spiced food:
Vast majority of white countries use a lot of spices. Not "hot" because they don't typically use chili peppers, but we conquered the world for spices so shut the fuck up retard.
The cuisine without spices is a french counterculture movement from the 18th century.
>Latin American places that have bland food:
All of them
>Asian places that have bad food
Insulting mongolian and -stan food shows you to be a COOKLET. Uzbek food is great.

You spent way too much time writing this considering how uninformed it is. Knowing a list of countries doesn't make you smart

Iceland has good fish.
