>>21678807>chinesium
>>21678831just feeling if it's thick enough to beat the shit out of something or someone without deforming it is good enough
>>21678892I choose chinese steel over any nonstick teflon microplastic BPA shit

you can get pots and pans from discount store for less than 20 bucks
>>21679106>non-stick aluminium sloppa that warps on the second use lol
>>21678807Good enough. When I first left my parents' home I bought a cheap stainless 3layer/alu-core set of pots and pans (then ~$130CAD for 3 saucepans, 1 saute pan, 1 stock pot all with stainless lids). I'm still using them 16 years later and it's still MUCH better than the REALLY cheap shit that my parents or in-laws still use after 40+ years. I'll probably upgrade to some Demeyere within a year or two but I don't expect it will really make much difference.
>>21679299Good cookware is night/day.
>>21679299Depends on the pot/pan size and what you usually make. You can work around having a shitty pot but you can't work around having a shitty pan.The only two "expensive" pots you need are (1) a sauce pan (which is technically a pot) and you only need that if you actually make sauces on the regular (that aren't pan sauces) and most people don't and (2) a pot large enough for your regular batch size of soup or stew. You only need this if you pre-fry ingredients in the pot to make a font, otherwise you can use a shitty pot and do the frying in a pan.
>>21678807pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft
>>21680312I prefer good pots for everything. There's nothing you'll do in the kitchen where you will not notice the difference between a good pan and a shitty one.
