Moved to the Midwest. Pizza options are limited. Is this any good?

How about you just try it instead of crowdsourcing an opinion to have?

This. I'd give any pizza place a try. With a name like Gumby's it's got to be unique. Buy a fucking pizza, OP.

There's sort of already a Gumby's thread here >>21678227 but I'm envious. Since moving out of my college town in 2003 I've only had it a couple times, when I came back to visit. The pizza isn't top-tier or anything but serviceable. What you really want are the Pokey Stix, their version of cheesy breadsticks. And ranch. Pepperoni rolls too. Basically their sides are way better than their pizza but the pizza isn't the worst.

So like Papa Johns?

I have no opinion on Papa John's. Anyway get the Pokey Stix and pepperoni rolls.

So, Iowa or Missouri?
>>
>>21680344
surely they didn't properly license Gumby™ for their shitty pizza place? surely this is dead before it even has legs
>>
>>21680354
I have a basic rule for trying out a new pizza. I always ask for the default, basic pizza, no modifications. That's a pepperoni pizza, or a cheese pizza. If a pizza appears in a tv show, film, or cartoon, it's one of those two. I order just one. If it isn't good, I never order from that place again. If they can't get the default basic pizza right I will not trust them to get any other type correct.
>>
>>21680372
They’ve been around for decades, I’m sure it’s licensed lol

If you live in the midwest you should just give up on buying prepared food that isn't absolute trash. You know all those people online who are like "durr just make everything at home it always mogs restaurants", those people live in flyover land, just like you do now.

You probably got a 5000 square foot McMansion for $150k and $1000 in annual property taxes, so you should have space and money for a refractory pizza oven and a smoker and all kinds of other silliness, hell you could probably grow your own damm grain and plow the fields with a John Deere DRM'd combination lawnmower surveillance device since you can't get anything but all purpose bleached GMO flour either. Lease that lifted pickup with truck balls that costs more than an ivy league education, buy that fantasy arsenal of machine guns, raise rabbits just like Captain Vasili in "Red October", enslave a gullible woman who wants to be a "trad wife", get her fat and train her to plow fields with a manual wooden yoke like an oxen when your John Deere won't start because you didn't pay the monthly subscription fee because all your money went to the truck, home school your kids and fill their heads with crazy shit from the official American Redoubt child brainwashing manual so they can't function in normal society or even differentiate reality from delulu fantasy, watch them become crippled from polio or lose their hearing from measles and call it God's will, brew crystal meth in your basement and lose all your teeth by 35, never eat a vegetable, die of colon cancer at age 39.

Life gave you lemons but you can still make lemonade, ok see you guys in 3 days.

You sound like a new York faggot

Did you move to a city like Minneapolis or Chicago and are complaining about nothing because it makes you feel cultured or did you move to the sticks and need to get your pizza from a gas station?

Even the quad cities, a third rate metro, have their own style of pizza. Its a grease sponge but its good.

You sound jealous living in your trash filled stinky criminal shithole with an apartment smaller than most bathrooms in the Midwest.
>>
>>21680456
The cultured part hits dead on. Every fag that moves from New York sounds the same way. They fail to mention that they have to wade through piles of trash, needles, street shit, and every other disgusting act of humanity just to get to their neighborhood mid restaurant. It's cope.

Yeah, you don't have to actually do that if you live in one of the better neighborhoods. And our food rules.

I'm not going to say that NYC isn't awesome because it is. I have family there, I went to school nearby, its a ton of fun and the food is great.

However, people from there, or who have lived there, can be insufferable to hang out with because they compare EVERYTHING to there, always negatively. Especially Pizza. My cousin does this- We are taking the kids to the botanical garden for an afternoon, you don't have to bring up how much better the japanese garden you have in Park Slope is to the one in Minnesota. The ones that moved away are especially bad- its clear they're licking their wounds from getting chased out by the cost of living. I'm a socal transplant in the midwest and I don't need to let the home grown midwesterners know how much better the food options were back in Orange County every single time we eat out. It really throws a blanket on the conversation- we are out having a good time, who cares about restaurants 1500 miles away.
