What is /ck/’s opinions on red beans and rice? It’s not the prettiest meal, but damn, it tastes good.

If it's done right it's not bad with some peppers or hot sauce. As a meal it needs corn bread on the side. Otherwise it's more of a side.

It's an S-Tier meal when done correctly and one of the best poorfag meals, to the point when one is a richfag it's still enjoyable to make it.
"Red Beans & Rice" is on the same level as "Bread", "Pizza", or "Omelette". It's one of the fundamentally S-Rank recipes with a low ingredient count.

Yeah I like the Indian version, Rajma Chawal. It's usually quite spicy but they also add some butter/ghee which makes it a bit more luxurious. In Jammu style Rajma it's usually served with a chutney made out of dried pomegranate seeds which is super tasty.

Rice and beans make a complete protein. You honestly don't need meat at all.
