This is how you do ham. This is how you're supposed to do it. Who else usually does ham for Thanksgiving or Christmas instead of turkey? Why?
>>21684377All that clove... that hamie is ruined!
>>21684377We usually do turkey on Thanksgiving, and a ham on Christmas.
>>21684377Sounds like something you'd do in a Communist country, stupid commie.
>>21684412How does it sound like that?
>>21684412>communist countries have foodanon...>>21684377>This is how you're supposed to do itincorrect.you're supposed to just put it in the oven until it's safe to eat.no glaze, no nails.
>>21684377I avoided honey baked hams until I had one at my sisters house. We now buy one at least once a year, divide it up and vacuum pack portions to eat over the next couple of months.also in regards to that pic... WOULD!
>>21684377We do goulash for Christmas
>>21684377>Who else usually does ham for Thanksgiving or Christmas instead of turkey? Why?I stopped doing turkey after my mother-in-law died. while she made the best turkey I ever had, I also am sick of it. IF we do thanksgiving I make a pork roast, or get a honey baked ham, or Smoke a rib roast, or rotisserie a rib roast.turkey is shit tier
>>21684422>you're supposed to just put it in the oven until it's safe to eat.anon... it already cured and cooked. you can eat right out of the packaging.
>>21684434What kind?
>>21684484Usually just a simple Austrian style beef one. At home I sometimes do a potato one.
>>21684377Ham for Christmas is a nice change-up, although I prefer goose, when I can get it.
>>21684747Where would one even buy edible goose?
>>21685271From any random dude dressed in camo out in the country.
>>21684377I’ve been trying to get my folks to do this for Christmas but they’re both on low-sodium diets. I mean can’t you just indulge one day out of the year?
>>21684377Looks like a hedgehog, OP
>>21686401i'd eat that too
>>21684377Ham is inferior.
>>21684377Our family does. My dad doesn't like Turkey so he would never buy it and just get a ham instead and that has stuck with me into adulthood.
We do pic related for christmas. Pork roast heavily easoned with allspice and some additional clove, juniper and maybe mace or nutmeg.
>>21684380That's the way you're SUPPOSED to do it! OP's way.
>>21687119>my dad doesn't like turkeyThat's no dad at all. And he doesn't make the rules. He needed to learn to appreciate turkey so you could have a traditional holiday. Fuck your lame dad.Your dad would purposely feed the Bumpus hounds, so I don't respect him.
>>21684377Your ham has starter locs.
>>21684380You sound like a tastelet.
>>21684747Sherlock Holmes favored a goose for Christmas.
>>21686397>they’re both on low-sodium dietsthey are wasting their time. salt is not bad for you in any way ever. unless you eat lake a huge amount all in one sitting. we are talking a half a cup.
>>21687119>My dad doesn't like Turkeybased, go dad.
>>21687119>dad was a bad dadI bet he stuck you as a child too
>>21684377Always hated cloves desu
>>21689000Tastelet
>>21688147What?
>>21684402>turkey on Thanksgiving, ham on ChristmasThat's how I grew up. Then my mom would use the hambone to cook lima bean soup. I hated it as a child but I wish I had it now.
>>21690417Starter locs as in the beginnings of dread locs. When people want to get clean dreadlocks, they typically start by twisting the hair in a uniform pattern. And if their hair is particularly short to begin with, the twists resemble the ham in OP.
I do ham because it's easy, i like it much better than my botched turkeyssomeone in my family would deep fry our turkeys for us years back
>>21684377bone in, cherry coke a cola glazeyou're welcome
I'd try this, with ham and fresh peaches. Maybe pineapple.
