I did not grow up eating sea food due to my mom being allergic to it, but I got the random desire to eat oysters. Should I go to the restaurant for them? Im gonna assume the frozen ones at the super market are disgusting?
>>21685932if your mom actually had a shellfish allergy, you may have one as well. i think you can get allergy tests from a doctorregardless, i'd go to a restaurant and start with cooked oysters first
>>21685932yes, if you live on the coast, look up oyster happy hours near you, they should have them for half price or a $1/2 eachTry one plain, drain the brine, loosen the meat with the fork, and shoot it. Then you can add the condiments as you choose to the rest>>21685967I agree with the allergy thing at least
>>21685967>>21685970these anons are absolutely incorrect. Shellfish allergies skip a generation.I would try to find a high end steakhouse, they will ALWAYS have the best oysters both raw & cooked (oysters rockafeller)
oh & look for Kumamoto oysters, by far the tastiest.

>>21685932Go to a cocktail bar that serves oysters, if you hate the fresh oysters you can at least enjoy a nice drink.
>blogger recommends going to a steak house for oysters.Do the raw bar thing if youre by the coast OP.
>>21685980Bro I'm gay and you sound like you suck more dick than I ever could. You're on 4chan.
>>21685932Prepare to be underwhelmed, oysters on the half shell are novelty food. Still worth trying.
>>21686313I agree with this. I usually see the name and skim past his post
>>21685970>Drain the brineFucking lander, you shoot the whole thing brine and all you fucking sealet I bet you don't even eat the tomalley of lobsters or crab or worse you throw the torso meat away because you only eat the claws like a fucking loser stick to Alaskan king crabs and old bay you 3rd rate seafood aficionado
>>21685976>>21685972Well this should be interesting, we haven't had any trips here in years
>>21686876>tomalley of lobsters or crab or worse you throw the torso meat away because you only eat the claws like a fucking loser stick to Alaskan king crabs and old bay you 3rd rate seafood aficionadoThis seems canadian, so ignored
>>21685932If you're in the Mid Atlantic, go to a dive bar on the Chesapeake Bay for raw oysters. They still sell them for 50 cents.
>>21687021Maybe on the eastern shore. I don't think you're going to find 50 cent oysters in annapolis. So what's it going to be, $2.50 oysters served by a hipster, or $0.50 oysters serve by someone who thinks black people were happier under slavery?
