You fucked up. Ukrainian borschtsch must be cooked with burnt salo instead of meat and served with McDonalds. Otherwise it's just normal Russian borschtsch.
Also you're supposed to finely chop the dill instead of tossing whole ass sprigs there.

Fun fact: It's called borsch! If you use the word "borscht" with a T at the end, you're using the Jewish pronunciation that they made up after they stole the dish and ran away with it to Western Europe and America and made up their own name for it so they could pass it off as their own dish!

Also borschsh is also incorrect it's just fucking borsch! Бopщ is just pronounced borsh! B O R SH.

Where are the fookin BEETS

where's the meat?
>>

the key is to make a beef fond at least a day before you start with the soup. you can use a huge pot and store it in the fridge for like 3 days or freeze it for a few months. none of the restaurants that you go to will do that because it takes too much time and it's too expensive if they want to make a big profit so they'll just use water, that's a very different dish
>>
>>21689289
>make a fond and store it
wtf are you talking about
>>
>>21689307
i'm not even sure what you're trying to say. it's almost a whole day of work and then you store it in the fridge because it has to be cold. then you remove all the fat. you have never done this before have you

On topic, I thought borsch didn't have meat in it.
I'll have to make some one day.

Yes it does, the primary ingredients are slow-cooked beets, which give it that red color, then chunks of potatoes, carrots, onions, and cabbage. All of these must be fine cut, but not too thin. Then add small pieces of beef like london broil. Also, black Russian bread only, lightly toasted. Black and red pepper and sea salt. That is the original recipe.

I see, thanks. Also thanks for reminding me I haven't had black bread in ages, I might get some later today.
>>
>>21689648
you mean a stock? you can't store a fond. do you know what a fond is?
>>
>>21689276
Borscht is vegetarian by default
>>
>>21689921
yea, my bad. the store bought stock here in germany is called "fond" so i get them confused sometimes
>>
>>21690532
but the vegetarian version is boring and objectively inferior
>>
>>21689228
I spell it "boschtsch" because I love german clusterfuck spelling of щ.
