Honestly what's the best way to defrost or prepare some frozen hot dogs? I asked for a family member to grab me some Costco hot dogs and I guess what I thought was 12-14 was actually 36+ in 3 packages, so I had to freeze two.

Do I just pull out a package, let it thaw, and then I'm good for a week or two? Do I need to leave them frozen and boil? I'm not gonna be making a big batch of dogs so it's for one person.

Yes, you can do either. If boiling from frozen, roughly double the boiling time.

Just...eat them? 36 is nothing...

Best thing to do is leave them frozen and microwave the ones you want straight from the freezer. If you pull out a whole package to defrost you then have to worry about finishing it in time.

I have faith in you OP.

31g of total fat (including 12–13g saturated fat), 960–1,250mg of sodium.

That's a lot of hot dogs for one guy. Just one package is like 2-3 meals of hot dogs and that's if I'm going after them too hard.

It won't be a problem to microwave from frozen?

>>21688905
Thankfully I only eat one meal a day and so I won't even reach my daily sodium with that.

I just don't freeze much stuff that's originally not supposed to be frozen.

There are men that can eat 70+ hot dogs in a single meal. You are a giant pussy OP

Microwaving from frozen is not a problem at all.

i jar mine to preserve them like the euros. they keep well, are already cooked, and require no thawing. it’s a bit of extra effort but i think it’s worth it. i buy the regular size kirkland beef hotdogs. bonus is the water they are jarred in pulls out a nice bit of salt from them.
