I know you all have to esoteric knowledge to make the rice I put in this taste better. As of now, I use jasmine riceunwashed, little olive oil on the bottom, cube of chicken stock, a few strands of saffron, and then near the very end I might crack an egg on top.

>>21690088If you actually want absolute best possible rice, buy something that has been freshly milled (< 6 months), preferably from Japan. Wash it quickly - don't let it sit in dirty water, throw that away almost instantaneously. Cooking instructions usually come on the rice along with the water ratio. But basically soak it in clean water for 30-45 minutes. Use the same water to cook. After it's done, let it rest for 15 minutes inside the rice cooker (I think, mine does that automatically on the preset so idk).Soon you'll start noticing how normal rice is mummified and therefore tasteless.
