>Tasted beef yesterday for the first time (or in a long time)
>because nonamericoid cuntry
>its got literally
>NO TASTE
>NO SMELL
>literally sniff it
>NO SMELL
>literally lick it
>NO TASTE
And no I don't have covid
>a vague kind of odor releases as you chew it for the first time
>not sure if that's the beef or the melted cheese

Wtf is beef a major scam?? I thought chicken and mutton were inferiors but this stuff tastes literally like water.

I want to try again at a different joint later (that one was minced beef, not sure if mincing killed flavor)

But I'm very wary of wasting money on it now. Is all red meat like this?
>>
someone sold you shit in your shit country

Hmm no beef...
SAAAAAAR!!!
>>
>>21690297
>I have brain damage which causes me to not be able to taste or smell so obviously this food that everyone else can taste and smell must be the problem.
KYS

why is that tastelets have to rant about their handicaps.
>>
>>21690297
all beef has a strong taste. and uncooked beef should have almost no smell. if it has a strong smell (when uncooked) it's gone off. O can smell someone cooking beef when biking around my neighborhood. you just have something wrong with you dumb ass.
>>
beef is fine, but the way normgroids treat it like some holy sacrament is really fucking weird to me, look at the autistic shit flinging that happens if you have the wrong opinion on how to cook it, you don't get that with pork or with lamb or with fish or with chicken but wrong opinion on steak and you'll get a fatwa from some middle aged fat fucking golf boomer who thinks you just insulted his mother
>>
>>21690480
Maybe he is just addicted to slop and his taste is fucked up. Hey OP go fasting for a week you dumb faggot.
>>
>>21690489
>Maybe he is just addicted to slop and his taste is fucked up
that would have nothing to do with it. he has brain damage, or sinus problems.
>>
>>21690297
stop smoking and you would be surprised what you can taste and smell.
>>
>>21690488
I'm actually not fond of chicken myself. Ill eat it but its my least favorite meat.
>>
>>21690297
Trvth nvke
SlavGODS won again pork is the greatest meat on this planet
That and duck
>>
>>21690303
Nah I tried 5 other joints all the same

1st world people just have dead tongues and don't even know it
>>
>>21690297
sounds like it was boiled or something
>>
>>21690805
Maybe. I CAN taste it when I burp it up though. Which is weird. And its definitely not the vax or covid as I remember I had a beef fried rice in 2016 and chewed on the beef piece which was tough and stringy and kinda hard to chew and I remember sitting and waiting and waiting for the taste to kick in but it never did.

Guess that's what happens when you eat chicken all the time
>>
>>21690521
Bacon is equally tasteless. Ate bacon strips the other day, and did taste the salt and a little savory but no distinct taste.

Face it bros, red meat has no palate/flavor profile. It just fills you up.
>>
>>21690491
Look dude the only reason I wanted to try beef is because I have teeth problems and needed something that needs little to no chewing (melt in your mouth) / dissolves in saliva era. I fucking hate mutton. So I figured hey beef is more expensive than mutton and the firstworldroids eat it so it has to be soft

But it's fucking stringy af.. I can't even SWALLOW it. It becomes dry sticky mushy with chewing and doesn't break down into smaller pieces like normal food. I spit out half of whatever I ate. It was all a whole waste.

Thank god chicken is less expensive than beef and pork those are retarded meats for tasteless farm people lol

many cuts have connective tissue that needs to be turned to gelatin with a long cooking process at a high temperature. Like brisket, as in texas barbecue. Other cuts like ribeye have less so they're cooked at lower temperatures but can still be messed up or just low quality (more small white streaks = more tender, it's called marbling). Real Japanese A5 Wagyu ribeye will be that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that you're looking for but it's $$$$$
>>
>>21690488
>but the way normgroids treat it like some holy sacrament is really fucking weird to m
thats historo-cultural. beef has essentially always been the high class staple domestic meet compared to the relitively low cost and yeild of pork and chicken. thus it was both a prime sacrificial canadate for the gods in older religions as well as a prime economic assets. so much so that wealth was often measured in cattle.
>>
>>21690822
Did you cook it yourself? What cut did you get and how did you cook it?

Unlike in chicken, the cut of beef makes a huge difference for how it needs to be cooked.

If you got the cheapest piece of beef, chances are good that you bought a tough bit that was meant for slow roasting or for a stew.

Pork is similar. If you want to try pork, you have several options. 1. Standard pork chop. Buy it, fry it, eat it. 2. Roast with crunchy skin. Slow broil it in the oven, then crank the heat up real high so the skin get crunchy.

Historically beef was shit meat eaten after the beef was worked to death in the fields

The good meat was mutton
>>
>>21690822
only beef from beef eating countries is going to be good. if you are some kind of thirdie and bought beef from your country you're probably eating some old ox.
>>
Rendered beef fat is what tastes good. Tallow fries taste good, beef gravy tastes good. A greasy burrito tastes good. Beef just tastes okay.
>>
>>21690297
you're retarded or didn't have actual beef. beef is 2nd maybe first most flavorful meat on the planet. depending on whether or not you want some bacon or pork ribs.
>>
>>21690488
nigga, have a ribeye or beef ribs or tri tip or london broil, etc... so delicious
>>
>>21690297
are you like retarded
>>
>>21690921
Um nope. I bought it from shops.
>>
>>21690966
Oh shif
>>21691757
I just want some quality beef but I tried to cheap out.
>>
>>21690973
This. It has a very faint taste
>>
>>21690297
Beef has so much flavor that if you ask for how to season it 90% of your answers will be salt and pepper, you either didnt eat beef or it was prepared extremely poorly
>>
>>21691781
Yes I think so. I had the expensive option and the cheaper shops I tried the cheaper ones. Next time I'm gonna try the expensive downtown ones they advertise it as red steak like in the movies. Lol.
>>
>>21690973
Beef fat leaves a disgusting cloying feeling in your mouth owing to its high melting point. Pork fat is slightly better in that regard, but horse fat utterly mogs both.
>>
meat aint about flavor, it's about satiation

Nice try Ranjeet the Indian Hindu rape rat. I'm going to eat twice as much beef now.

After skimming the thread, one thing I didn't see anyone bring up is whether the beef was dry aged or not. Much of the flavor we associated with beef comes from that process; I've read that freshly slaughtered beef - especially the typical mass production cattle killed young - doesn't have much flavor to it. Thoughts?
>>
>>21691754
why do you retards always come back with this kind of shit? you really think most people haven't had at most if not all common cuts of beef?
>>
>>21692630
I'm convinced most people are just pretending to like dry aged. it can be ok in a cheeseburger, like dry aged sirloin ground up and topped with onions and a strong cheese but as a steak? no thank you please.
