I have one, but sodastream does only water in plastic bottles you jackass, and for the money it costs this is way better.
>>
>>21690331
This is kind of cool, is it easy to get the CO2 tank refilled?
>>
>>21690389
Yes, if you live not too far from a big city.
>>
>>21690366
Sodastream does only water. If you want to carbonate any drink you need something like Drinkmate.
Both are overpriced petg pieces of shit and even Drinkmate only will get you a light fizz on your drink, because the mechanism they use is just shoot high pressure co2 into the drink scrambling it all up and making impossible for it to retain much gas.
So i made this, carbonate directly into the glass bottle with a polycarbonate shield for protection, a sub micron diffuser and magnetic stirrer.
It dissolves slowly co2 into the drink and in the end you can release the pressure slowly as well so the liquid retains the gas.
I can make any drink very very fizzy with it.

0/10 for going out of your way to drink poison.

>3d Printed Adapter
What is it with dorks always wanting to announce they 3d printed something for some gay little nicknack around their house?
>>
>>21690388
>for the money it costs this is way better.
<sarcasm> oh yeah that looks totally cheaper </sarcasm>

People with brains tend to be articulated.

>>
>>21690431
The magnetic stirrer is pointless wank, just shake the bottle a couple times.
>>
>>21690475
That is a glass bottle at 3 bar.
>>
>>21690457
People with brains tend to be connected by joints? How moreso than people without brains? Double-jointed, maybe.
>>
>>21690457
people with brains wouldnt use 3D printed stuff for food because that shit aint food safe
hf drinking your microplastics
>>
>>21690431
How quickly can you get something very fizzy? Patent the basic design and you could be on to something.

theres a guy on youtube that does it all with a sodastream

1. Extremely based.
2. Tripfaggots proven to be fucking retards.
3. Should have made a corny keg adapter for your bottles so you could also use your co2 line with small kegs(1-2 gallon mini kegs), but WHATEVER you still did the thing.
>>
>>21690542
About 3 minutes with co2 dissolving at 3 bar and 5º C, that is around 45 psi and 40ºF
>>
>>21690555
You can only a little fizzy, and if you over do it then the pressure release opens and starts spitting all your drink all over the counter.
I tried believe me.
>>
>>21690549
I will get a bottle today and try. I'll post results
>>
>>21690541
That is petg btw and is not in contact with the drink. The hose is silicon and the diffusor stainless steel. I orderer a stainless steel stirring bar but it has not arrived yet.
I may outsource the petg adapter and get it in stainless steel as well. The gasket is silicon too.
>>
I haven't been this interested since centrifuge anon. CARBONATE ALL THE THINGS.
>>
>>21690634
>You can only a little fizzy
idk, the guy in the vid has some success and its a good compromise since anything above a certain limit gets released when you open the pressurized container anyway
theres no point in carbonizing it more for the sake of it when the end result is the same since you ultimately want to drink it at atmospheric pressure anyway

I have the sodastream and i tried. If you try to get it as fizzy as a cocacola the damn thing overflows and your drinks starts to shoot out the pressure relief valve. You can do it a little, but not really really fizzy.
>>
>>21690635
Nice, red or white ? Either way I'm very interested
>>
>>21690720
Red, a regular Chianti. I have it on the fridge right now cooling down. I'll post the result.

Is it hard to see the bubbles and that is important, so i shine a light through to see what is going on.
In this photo you cant see much but i was seeing clearly all the tiny bubbles swirling around properly.

It came out very very fizzy. Much more than i expected. I did 3 minutes of buildup pressure and stabilization and then i released slowly the pressure.
It seems that with wine you have to bring down the pressure much more slowly than with tea to get the maximum result.
It very slowly released the extra gas until it was normal pressure.

It tricks my palate because being so cold and fizzy my brain thinks this is cocacola.
It is actually very tasty, but being so cold some of the wine flavour is difficult to catch.
I will try letting it warm up again at room temperature while keeping it in the bottle.

>buy sodastream
>physical product
>read info inside
>product of israel
>the sodastream unit and all equipment remains property of jewstein inc, you have purchased a revokable license to use it
uhmazin
also it fucking sucks
>>
>>21690391
The tank seems kinda small; how many drinks can you make before needing to get it refilled?
>>
>>21690896
A tremendous amount, hundreds of these bottles. Unlike with sodastream, very little co2 is lost using this method.
But getting this 2kg Co2 tank refilled costs like 10 to 15 euros anyways.
>>
>>21690901
cool thread!

can you upload a video of the floating bubbles?

is it noisy?

I want to see it with just water. Like are the bubbles big?
>>
>>21690840
Cool stuff, would buy a kit if it was available to use on my kombucha.
>>
>>21690901
I might actually build one of these then, it looks cool
>>
>>21690331
overkill/10
>>
>>21690906
No it doesnt make any noise. Now is late here, but tomorrow morning i will make more fizzy tea and i will try to make a video so you can see
>>
>>21690914
You can buy a beer carbonating kit with a 1, 2.5, or 5 gallon keg if you just wanted something you can keep cold, carbonated and have on tap at home. They even have bottle fillers you can use that don't create a shit load of foam if you wanted to take bubbles on the go. Kegs take a day or two to fully carbonate depending on the temp of the liquid.
>>
>>21690931
One of those would be ok if i wanted to make a big amount of 1 beverage.
But now i am just experimenting all this stuff and trying different recipes in small amounts. For the next try i am preparing green tea infused with mint leaves and sweetened with allulose.
I am actually learning a lot

I have a 5lb co2 tank with necessary regulator thingy and an adapter for ptfe bottles.
I'm not brave enough to use glass but your setup looks far better than needing to shake the bottles by hand
