They are delish
They look like cockroach
Yes they are, especially when they put out.
>>21692208They just taste like sugar to me. Very bland.I've heard fresh ones are better I've only tried the dried ones.
>tfw dateless loserHow do I cope bros?>Please wait a while before making a postThis is getting ridiculous
They are amazing, but the quality varies a lot between different brands and types.I've had god tier dates that were legitimately some of the best desserts I've ever had just eaten pure soft, with an intense date flavor and a hint of caramel. And I've had dogshit dates, that were dry, weirdly chewy, overly sweet, and had barely any flavor of their own. Finding a brand and type you like is important with dates.
>>21692228Put them in the microwave for a few seconds so they’re warm (not too long because they can become molten), really brings out the flavors
Were you nervous when you had your first date?
they are great, the safawi and khudri varieties are my favourite
>>21692208I love the Zionist Medjool dates I often wrap them in bacon and airfry. Or stuff with peanut butter and cover with dark choc
>>21692406Deglet dates are the ones more likely to be dry and bland. They can still be okay to eat plain sometimes but apparently they're used more for cooking than the others.
>>21692208Stayed clear of those since one of them almost killed Indiana Jones.
>>21693853I found delget dates to be the best for eating, I bought some trident dates but they where only good for cooking because they were too sweet.
for me? mazafati
>>21692208One time I was dieting and brought dates and unsalted almonds with me to work. I found myself full but insanely craving some shitty gas station pizza. I couldn't figure out why since I had my macros covered and had plenty of calories. I thought about it and what I really wanted was the sauce. There's no salt in the dates. I had become hyposelenic. This had never happened. It's almost impossible to do this eating in America. Also, chop up dates and nuts and cook then with steel cut oatmeal. Very satisfying if you want a light breakfast. Use milk in place of a third of the water or so if you need more protein.
>>21694107Most of the time they're okay for plain eating but I've had batches where they're mostly just skin without much flesh underneath and there's nothing to them, ends up being disappointing.
>>21694811>chop up dates and nuts and cook then with steel cut oatmealI do this regularly. Very tasty.
>>21692208They are just big raisins you geriatric fuck
dates and pistachios are a goated snackbut also I chop dates up and cook them into tomato based sauces and stews for some extra depth and a little sweetness
I like eating these when they are frozen.
I always buy Iranian dates. I hate filthy American dates.
>>21696065>chop dates up and cook them into tomato based sauces and stews for some extra depth and a little sweetnessSounds interesting. I'll have to try that sometime. Thanks.
