Unless you have a large well ventilated kitchen you can look forward to your kitchen and the adjoining rooms smelling like fried food and cooked oil.
>>
>>21695491
just a sad sad fucking time

Pro tip: use it outside

First you'll be excited you can make your favorite bar food at home. You'll be very disappointed in the cost of cooking oil and how much you'll throw away for one meal. Unless you areperson who does fish fries to entertain others this will end up sitting in your closet to be used once a year at most.

A jug of canola oil is like $3.

Why do you guys think that's so clever? I'm sure there's a fat joke in there somewhere but the delivery options don't work.

Not very witty to begin with but the fact that so many people think it is is the really sad part.

Do better.

unless you're going to deep fry food for a lot of people, a 4.5 litre fryer is a bit too much.
A 3 litre one is enough for almost every home cook.
apart from that, those cheap professional style fryers are basically the same and work fine.
it's just a heating element and a thermostat in a metal vat, nothing too high tech or complicated.
>>
>>21695519
shallow-frying chicken tendies in a pan makes more smell than a proper fryer with clean oil.
of course it's better to use it outside, but even indoor it doesn't cause too much of a hassle.

its great you can deep fry with olive oil up to 6 times because of how its temperature is regulated
>>

>You'll be very disappointed in the cost of cooking oil and how much you'll throw away for one meal.
You can easily use the oil for a month.
>>
>>21697445
I'd say a 4.5 litre fryer is a fairly small amount of capacity for the average sized person?
>>
>>21695491
Novelty at first, then it’s just more kitchen crap.

>Pro tip: use it outside
This. You might prefer something actually meant for outside, or a for proper patio kitchen prep area. That's the key. Nothing like deep fried goodies if you have some kind of ethnic family food or fritters from time to time. I'd be okay with cheat versions at home, like oven fried or air fried.
>>
Why not just use a stainless steel pot? I fry pretty often and just use my pot which I also make stews and mashed potatoes in. Much more versatile.
>>
>>21698125
this type of deep fryers can control the temperature so that the oil doesnt exceed its smoking point
>>
>>21698131
I just use a thermometer I never have an issue with the oil getting too hot.
>>
>>21697086
Not my problem rental parasite. I will coat my apartment in a layer of grease and I will pour gallons of tallow down the drains to solidify.

using the basket is fun

They also can't get hot enough for it to ignite.
>>
You should try deep frying garlic cloves and coating them in seasoning. They turn into a crunchy light cheeto texture and taste really good

Pro tip, get pizza rolls and deep fry them until they turn 165°. I don't remember how long that takes, like about 2 minutes. If you don't have a thermometer then just wait until one pops then take it out.
Once they're finished, toss them along with hidden valleys ranch seasoning and let them cool.
Basically anything that's frozen and breaded can be usually deep fried, and it's usually better believe it or not. Man I miss my food stamps
