How to keep fried eggs from burning their whites?I tried low heat but I need to cook them more that way and their bottom burns.I tried having high heat so they set faster for a minute and then lowering the heat for the remaining 3 minutes, that seems to kinda work but the next batch of eggs becomes burnt because of the pain retaining the heat and doesn't care for temperature changes.I tried different oils but they all have similar results. And generally how many minutes is safe? I want to cook them 3 minutes, because that's when they look at their best, but everyone around me says it's unsafe.
Heat the pan a little above medium, add fat, add egg, cook until the white is mostly solid by the yolk, flip, cook for just a little longer, done. I don't even understand how you're burning it without cooking on way too high a temperature or for a ridiculous amount of time.
>>21695723Medium low heat with oil, or medium low heat then add butter, add eggs. Dont touch themIf you want them sunny side up just put a plate over the pan, or baste with hot oil while it's cooking at a med high heat. That's it, it's very easy
>>21695723it sounds like you just need to practice more. one tip i can give you is make sure your pan isn't larger than it needs to be, that can cause too much heat retention. also eggs can be eaten raw, there's no set cook time for "safe" eggs

>>21695754Kek, yea fuck that guy >>21695738
>>21695754Skill issue. Over easy is best.
>>21695723The answer is bacon grease on low. I usually flip it for over easy. Sunny side up guy just fears his yolk breaking
flipping the egg ruins it
>>21695908depends on if it's in a sandwich or on a plate.
>>21695910no, the yolk is meant to be fluid
>>21695921There is a way to have a runny yolk even after flipping it. You're just bad at cooking.
>>21696000this>>21695921>no, the yolk is meant to be fluidthen why can it turn solid?
>>21696046it can turn solid to punish egg flippers
