It's a far cry from wheat by the time it's become shelf-stable Wonder Bread. I'm totally eating rice before I'm eating bread if I'm going to have carbs. Of course if it's some homebaked multigrain whole wheat thing vs. white rice or fried rice I might go with the bread. Brown or wild rice before any bread though. I really just avoid most of that now. Better than being obese.
