Unless it's a special occasion, I always use instant mash. Maybe my palate is that of a child but it tastes almost the same to me. Add enough butter and it'll be rich and tasty.Another bonus is that it makes it a lot more convenient to make dishes that require mash like gnocchi or croquttes since you've eliminated half the work right away.Do you like instant mash?

Real mashed > instant mash > reheated real mashedMy favorite thing is making pot roast with extra gravy and having the leftovers with instant mash throughout the week as easy meals.
