>>21708103You don't know your neighbors names.
Upon these many rocks, I will build my silly dinner
>>21708109Correct. But I got friends who live nearby to keep out the lonely thoughts. And fun servingware from goodwill!
>9:00>Wake upman its a good thing you wrote that step or you might have forgotten it
>>21708103>>frosted loaf beforeIts best to wait till after dinner to jack off
wtf is "Decorative Fermentation"?????the fermentation process is tasty, but its not pretty.
>>21708154Original idea was to plot out times to make sure I could fit everything. But yeah it felt stupid the second I wrote it down last night. Guests arrive at 5pm. I got the time>>21708163Trust the science>>21708158I like to break it up and masturbate a lil bit throughout the day. Keeps things interesting
>>21708103>1950s Tupperware Party CookalongExactly where is the Tupperware?I'm hear to learn, ignorant and not going to try to hide it.
>>21708182Plan is to make a Tupperware display in the back of the serving table. Haven't set the table yet
>>21708163ViolaBought the jar for when I make saukraut but it's nice enough for a centerpiece thing
>>21708103>>frosted loafThese guys made that, and it looked delicious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOQc24DbIBU
>>21708103The 1950's really was the most based time to be alive.
>>21708194You realize ofc Tupperware is just not for storing but also for making and serving! For example, for dessert you might consider this set my Mom used for homemade Popsicles.
>>21708120sexo crimson glassware
>>21708264My expectations are not high >>21708276Meh. Postwar art sucks. 1920s if you're rich, 1990s if you're not>>21708293You can keep your plastics and leaded gas to yourself >>21708302Thx thx
>>21708120I love the two brass spittoons.
>>21708346I go through periodic phases where I really want plants, buy a bunch, then kill them off cuz I forget to water them. That shelf is the pot graveyard until the next time. This time I'll water them for sure!
Bit of a cunt to be throwing any dinner parties.
>>21708336>You can keep your plastics and leaded gas to yourselfHoly guacamole! Where did that hostility come from?
SO. MANY. STEPS.
>>21708389just get plants that don't need watering. I have a bunch of spider plants in my house and they can go months without watering.
>>21708436Are they cat safe? Half my plants die of neglect, the others are eaten alive by monsters who won't let me have one nice thing in my life
Deviled ham looks and smells like cat food
>>21708103I love this thread, vintage cooking is my favorite. I use my inherited Betty Crocker 1960s cookbook my grandmother left behind. It has wonderful recipes. Currently I'm obsessed with the coffee cake.
>>21708120>gurgle potUh oh we got a gentleman of FINE discriminating taste here
>>21708103>>Invest the goy with plasticsFuck you!
>>21708496Thanks I got it at Goodwill (tm)>>21708485Lotta mayo for me personally but as a finished product this stuff is at least fun. Food now is so utilitarian
>>21708441they're hanging plants so yeah you just hang then out of cat reach. my cat is fat but she doesn't eat plants so idk if they're actually cat safe
Shocked these people somehow made it long enough to ruin the earth. Mayo on mayo on mayo
>>21708103Make sure you have unseasoned potato salad.
>>21708431it looks bad too
>>21708569Yeah I'm not good at plating. The frosted loaf looks fucking awful. Plan is to freeze it a bit and slice it up so it's less noticeable. Too much filling even tho I followed the recipe.
>>21708577kekwell, looks dont count on meaty food
>>21708577Sandwich bread nowadays is like 1/4 to 1/2 the size of stuff they had when the recipe was printed due to enshittification/shrinkflation. Unless you made the bread yourself, then I have no explanation. You can save it by doing the freeze, then whipping up a little extra outside "frosting" to clean it up, then replate it on a fresh plate. the only real issue you have it not enough exterior and the paper is a mess but thats expected when frosting. The first coating is a "crumb" coating which is what you have. do one more if you'd like better presentation and I think you'll be fine.
>>21708468>canned deviled hamIt's literally ham and some spices blended.
>>21708591Made the bread myself. P much going to do what you described. More frosting should help
>>21708577what's in the EARTH container
>>21708615also this guy did a pretty serviceable sandwich loafhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CJ9Wiyw_0A
It's a tight space but i'm p happy with the look. Maybe a little too much 60s bleeding in but still
>>21708623Ruminants. Also have wind (birds), fire (baked stuff), and water (fish).
>>21708705duuude, plastic plates ...and crappy table cover...would not eat
Found some vintage tupperware on a walk last week. In a small junk pile on the curb.>>21708710What are you doing with that stuff
Pork wellingtons from memory. Finally get a second to chill. About 2 hours to go. Plan is to throw them in around 1545 with guests arriving at 1630. Round 1620 plate and slice. >>21708742I don't have the storage space to keep full real table sets. Maybe someday when I get a house. Until then it's disposable. >>21708749Eating? What do you do with food?
>>21708772you spent 6 hours prepping food? the guests better suck dick afterwards
>>21708705sovl
It is. Dare I say. A vibe.
My shit. Will report back after with more photos of what the guests bring.
>>21708985You need a bigger bookshelf or need to start downsizing
>>21708985In lieu of being the little shit I normally am, I'll just say good job. You are making attempts and doing a social, keep it up.
>>21708989You're a good man, anon.
> what cha reading anon?>Flour. I heard the sequel is great.>What's it called?>Breads.
>>21708989>>21708985Terrific, I am super jealous I was not invited. Those guests better appreciate the hell out of your delightful vintage recipes and work.
>>21708989everything on the left in the dumpeverything on the right for me
Looking good, lmaoHope you guys have fun
>>21709062kek
wonderful thread anon, love the decorative fermentine glass thingywhat did the guests brought ?
Guests are gone. Leftovers are boxed. Furniture is put back. Dishes are stacked but a job for another day. Wellington, punch, and overall decor went over really well. Couldn't convince people to try either the frosted loaf or the layered salad. I thought both were fine but too mayo heavy for regular consumption. Ah well. Guest desserts were pretty good. Creme de menth choc cake and two jellos. 3 solid hours of chatting and good times, very few spaghetti spills. Had fun!>>21708999It's worse than you know. That thing is double sided, just as crammed on the other side, and I have a smaller second shelf just as full. Looking for some thinner mass market sized shelves to put behind my couch kinda like a headboard type deal. No luck yet>>21709062Kek
>>21709428Stuff for Manhattans. Two jello cakes. And a creme de menthe cake. All solid.
>>21709011>>21709024>>21709068>>21709428We should all meet and explore each other's bodies
>>21709450love it anon. glad it went well. you've done important research here, and for that we owe you everything
>>21709450a ton of leftovers, all for you?
>>21709450I would have tried your sandwich loaf anon. >>21709458I'm already sort of seeing someone so how about a platonic meet with vintage recipes and new board games
>>21709489Desserts were kindly accepted then immediately trashed. Not a sweets guy. Dumped the salad and loaf too. The rest I'm planning to enjoy on veterans day. Enough for a big meal but not anything crazy. The leftover punch is gonna take a minute tho. 2L left
>>21709507That's platonic meat
>>21709514I got some platonic meat for you right here
>>21709450>Couldn't convince people to try either the frosted loaf or the layered salad.I would have called everyone of them out, what a waste of time
