Would saffron be a good addition to eggnog?

I'm thinking of trying eggnog this Christmas season.

I found this recipe from How to Drink, based on the Jerry Thomas recipe for Baltimore Eggnog:

-2 eggs
-22ml simple syrup
-1/4tsp nutmeg (plus extra for serving)
-30ml cognac
-15ml rum
-22ml madeira
-150ml whole milk

15 egg version (7.5x):

-15eggs
-165ml simple syrup
-1.75tsp nutmeg (plus extra for serving)
-225ml cognac
-112.5ml rum
-165ml madeira
-1125ml milk

how many hundreds of dollars of saffron would you need to get any flavor out of it in an eggnog without accidentally saffron poisoning yourself
