>turns everything you put inside into unevenly cooked overheated dogshitif I got rid of my microwave today, what changes other than no popcorn or melting butter for baking? This does nothing but take up space and cooks everything like shit. You couldn't find me a decent recipe using one if you tried
i got a panasonic inverter and i don't have that problem
>>21715618why are you complaining about the rice defroster. it has a very specific purpose.
iām with you anon but i fear the ears around here are mostly deaf, how will all the fast food enjoyers on this board reheat their doordash?
>>21715632why the fuck are you freesing rise you mongoloid
>>21715637lol you never had an asian gf. you make a bunch of japanese rice and freeze the portion sizes you want, stays good forever. refrigerating cooked rice is the easiest way to make yourself super fucking sick if you're not careful with it, no problem frozen. and it microwaves back to basically how it comes out of the cooker. but my bad, i forgot we were on the "fucking retarded 20 year olds with zero life experience discover three dishes they can barely shit out and are now experts on cuisine" board lmao
>>21715654>my bad, i forgot we were on the "fucking retarded 20 year olds with zero life experience discover three dishes they can barely shit out and are now experts on cuisine" board lmaoGottem
>>21715618I haven't owned a microwave in a couple years and don't miss it at all. If you want something for heating up leftovers and such, get a toaster oven or air fryer instead. You can melt butter in a small saucepan on the stove.
>>21715654I think it's dumb. Store it dry and cook it when you need it.
I use mine almost every time I make dinner because I like to serve food on warm plates
I got rid of my microwave over 6 years ago and haven't looked back. The only thing i mostly used my microwave for was heating up left overs, so i didnt have more dishes to wash. You can make popcorn in a pot and heat up butter in a pan. There are whole cookbooks that utilize a microwave for cooking exclusebly
>>21715618works in my kitchen
>>21715706>excluseblyI've never heard of this dish
>>21715700cant you just put your plates in the oven on a super low temp?
>>21715700actual best use of the microwave
>>21715618I cook eggs and steam vegetables in my microwave every day because I'm lazy and don't want to spend more time doing it the traditional way. They taste pretty good either way.
Why did you post a picture of the coffee reheater?
>>21715764how the fuck you cook eggs in a microwave
>>21715787Scramble them in a bowl first and then 30 second bursts 3 times while mixing between each burst.
>>21715711Yeah but the microwave is fasterjI could also run them under the tap with hot water and wipe them offI do use it for a couple of other things, softening butter, melting chocolate, and I guess reheating soupy stuffThey're not useless but I do agree with the general sentiment that they're pretty bad if you have other options, which most people do
>>21715802how is that easier than just cooking them on the stoveI just crack three eggs, cover and wait 5 minutes, usually making coffee. I'm not gonna fuck around every 30 seconds to stir half curdled eggs
I work with someone. He is a homeowner. He NEVER brings food to work to eat. He always gets food from the cafeteria. For context, our boss, who makes more than us, brings food to the office, so it's acceptable to bring your food in, as I do.He said he does not own a microwave. He is not poor. He doesn't heat food up in a microwave? What the fuck? I also think he's gay. >>21715654I've never frozen rice before and I think this is a great post.
>>21715654>refrigerating cooked rice is the easiest way to make yourself super fucking sick if you're not careful with it,This is a meme. People get sick from leftover rice because they left it sitting unrefrigerated on their countertop for multiple days and still ate it. Nobody is getting food poisoning from cooking rice then refrigerating it and eating it within a week like any other food.
Use the power settings for vastly improved results. I almost always run mine at 50% unless I'm boiling water for tea or something
>>21715946Cooking at home and meal prepping saves so much money it's unreal. I used to spend $800+ a month eating out 3x a day. Now I spend $300 a month cooking and still eat out weekly. Not to mention how much healthier I am.
