Recently got interested in the idea of eating wild game like venison and pheasant, but I'm not really interested in hunting as an activity. Cwd is also a concern of mine. How could i reliably get my hands on some safe wild meat? Can it be bought?

They're not likely to answer like a craigslist ad or something, because like I said selling hunted meat is illegal in most places. I get venison from a cousin of mine if I ask because he has freezers full of it, he doesn't mind giving some away. But you'd have to get to know people like that naturally. You're gonna have an easier time just getting some farm raised venison.

It's funny to me that the same people who clutch pearls over chinese for eating foxes and africans for eating bush meat will stop on a highway and steal road kill from a pack of vultures and boast online about feeding it to their own kids
go get some tags and give someone the tags in exchange for the deer. most people who hunt don't even want the meat they just want to hunt.
