All of the breweries in my city, and every city I've lived in, they all just do a million IPAs and maybe a token stout. Where are the lagers? The pilsners? Literally any other kind of ale? I almost always have to go with a macro if I'm not in the mood for a 12% triple hazy IPA or a strawberry milkshake pumpkin spice latte stout.

My experience with IPAs is limited. Those I have tried were hoppy-bombs, and I did not enjoy them. My understanding of IPAs was that that's what people like about them, so I figured they're not for me. Is this Imperial IPA different? What about the "Hazy" variety?
>>21730688Imperial IPAs are just very strong IPAs (flavor and alcohol content, usually 8 or 9% instead of 6 or 7% for a normal IPA).Hazy IPAs are usually sweeter and have a cloudy texture. Definitely try one of those (whatever local brewery, the fresher the better). They're different enough that you might like this style even if you don't like other IPAs.
