>*viscerally angers the lager enjoyer*

When it comes to craft beers, seems like it's more the brew rather than the style which makes it good. A solid brewer with a good batch can make pretty much any style shine.
>>
>>21728720
I don't mind IPAs long as they're not extremely dry and bitter like some are. I just hate the people that won't shut the fuck up about them
>>
>>21728720
I just hate when breweries have thirty different variations of ipa and nothing else. How many different fucking hazy IPAs can a single brewery make?! All of the breweries in my city, and every city I've lived in, they all just do a million IPAs and maybe a token stout. Where are the lagers? The pilsners? Literally any other kind of ale? I almost always have to go with a macro if I'm not in the mood for a 12% triple hazy IPA or a strawberry milkshake pumpkin spice latte stout.
>>
>>21728733
I think New Belgium has a couple pilsners but generally these companies stick to what their base loves. The IPAfags stick with IPAs almost universally.
>>
>>21728720
Voodoo ranger is good
>>
>>21728720
IPA's suck though
Imperial Stouts are superior if youre going for high ABV. Or Lambics, or saisons, or anything except for garbage overrated grass clipping beers.
>>
>>21728720
It’s fine, a little too bitter but it’s high abv and can be found most everywhere. 1554 is a better new belgium beer. way too many ipas on the market, hard to find one that is more citrusy or floral instead of just bitter.
>>
>>21728720
These are good, the fruity juice ones have an awful after taste that make drinking more than one a difficult task.

It's Mosaic or Deep Ellum for me if I'm having an IPA

i drink that to blackout not for taste
>>
>>21728776
I think it's great. It's pretty popular here in DFW. If you like IPA at all it's definitely worth a try
>>
>>21728720
Great way to throw up after the last bottle. This shit bloat maxs.
>>
>>21728720
>viscerally gags anyone who has a sense of taste
>>
>>21728782
It's about believing they have more complex and thus more sophisticated taste. dunning kreuger of alcohol.
>>
>>21728853
I think that's part of it. Some people do the same thing with hot sauces.

It could also just be due to boredom and seeking more stimulation elsewhere even if it's negative. There have been experiments showing that people would sometimes rather be in active discomfort than simply bored.
>>
>>21728733
I wish dive bars had more of them. They always just have 1 and it’s never an interesting 1
>>
>>21728851
If you drink these for taste you're already doing it wrong. These are good for drinking socially and getting blackout quicker than your common swill.
Don't be a pussy, get it in ya.
>>
>>21728720
this shit sent me to detox. never touching it again.

>When you say you like beer but you don't like "beer".
>>
>>21728853
Yep exactly the same as whisky fags and cigar homos.
>>
>>21728720
this did to millennial white neighborhoods what crack did to gen x black neighborhoods in the 80s. except instead of more crime, it just got more sad. drinking rot gut in the dark. estrogen. obesity. failure.
>>
>>21728720
>skeleton with a mushroom patch on hat and hamburger patch on jacket
what even is that. millenial beer companies try too hard to look young and cool. it's still beer and it gives you estrogen, manboobs and a beer belly. no amount of cool skeletons will change that.
>>
>>21728720
no offense but this is what I imagine homosexuals and wanna be tough guys drink
>>
>>21729036
leave stogies out of this you rat bastard
>>
>>21728733
The truth is ipas are MUCH easier to make than a lager or pils. A brewery that only does IPA and doesn't have a good lager to show for it means that they don't really know what they're doing.

stfu and hand me a beer
I enjoy lager - and ipa, ale, stout
>>
>>21728720
I miss the original Ranger IPA. It was one of the best things they've ever made.
>>
>>21728768
why do these designs have to be so absolutely ridiculous
>>
>>21730366
it pleases the soyjak redditors that make up a majority of ipa consumers
>>
My experience with IPAs is limited. Those I have tried were hoppy-bombs, and I did not enjoy them. My understanding of IPAs was that that's what people like about them, so I figured they're not for me. Is this Imperial IPA different? What about the "Hazy" variety?
>>
>>21730688
Imperial IPAs are just very strong IPAs (flavor and alcohol content, usually 8 or 9% instead of 6 or 7% for a normal IPA).
Hazy IPAs are usually sweeter and have a cloudy texture. Definitely try one of those (whatever local brewery, the fresher the better). They're different enough that you might like this style even if you don't like other IPAs.
>>
What level soyjak am I if I eat with IPA flavored hot sauce
>>
>>21730966
so soy you've become a normie
