love going to pizzerias and then getting like a calzone or spinach roll or whatever sandwich they’re doing as a special. these tend to be a better value than the actual pizza. what do you like to get at eateries that isn’t their “main” thing?
>>21732034not much of a fast food eater anymore but if friends are ordering fried chicken I will order a whole bunch of biscuits
>>21732034BBQ Place I loved that covid kill had the fucking best fried pickles and ranch. Their meat were good, but I've not found fried pickles or ranch that tasted half as good as their stuff.
>>21732034For sure, italian mom n pops do a good salad and homemade soup usually and comes with free bread.>what do you like to get at eateries that isn’t their “main” thing? There a couple of bars where an "appetizer sampler" is just perfect with a beer as my main. I'll happily eat a couple loaded potato skins, a couple buffalo wings or ribs, half a quesadilla or maybe a crunchy eggroll or mozz sticks. It prevents making a choice too and has an appetizer price.
>>21732034I used to do something like this. I went to an old Italian deli that had, over time, become just a sandwich place with a few other items. This was a rough, old school place that didn't coddle you and the people that worked there had no time for Karens wondering if the bread was organic or some shit. Awesome sandwiches. So I got some pasta from them and the presentation was... interesting.
