>>21752403It's very popular I think people mainly take it for higher test levels or something.
>>21755196/r/nootropics is the best sub for this type of thing.
I've been cooking with them for about a month now. Tastewise, they're ok. Just a slightly bitter mushroom flavour. But, I do feel different. My ibs is better, and my poop is more firm and regular, and I just feel... kind of better overall in a holistic sense. I don't know how to describe it really. My head feels clearer, my dreams are more vivid and memorable, I feel like I'm less burdened. I don't think the mushrooms are a magic cure all but they definitely do *something* even if I'm not entirely sure what that something is.
>>21755442Meh I browsed there a decade ago and experimented with nootropics a long time ago. I feel like a lot of those people placebo themselves into feeling anything. The only nootropic I tried + noticed anything on was NAC, which helped with mental stuff I was experiencing at the time. I still "felt" the same. I didn't even notice it at first. It took me a long time to realize "oh I haven't had obsessive thoughts about projectile vomit or slashing my veins in a while."
>>21754313It's almost like mass processing facilities can make products at scale that aren't worth the effort of making in small quantities at home. Next you'll tell me people buy pre-made ketchup and sausages. >>21754373Most supplement pills are mostly filler because they're based on a safe dosage. If you took a zinc caplet that was actually made of 100% zinc citrate you'd vomit and shit yourself
>>21749377Added bonus that it's very distinct. There is no visually identical "Death's Mane" (effect: 12h after consuming makes you painfully blood-shit yourself to death) or sth like that.

>>21749778>mushrooms contain almost no nutritional valueWeird because actual mycologists told me to my face they vary wildly based on the medium they grow in but I'm sure some smelly gamer retard knows better
>>21755676I had a good stack of like 5-8 supplements I was taking including basic ones like vit D3 or whatever. I can't recall all of them off the top of my head but NAC is by far my favorite and the only one I'm currently taking (also for OCD but it's a very strong natural antiviral too). Alcar was great B vitamins are nice but ideally you should get enough from food spirulina was ok-ish vit E and zinc are great. Still take turmeric but in powder not in curcumin extract. I definitely felt a lot better when I was taking a €70 a month stack which isn't like super expensive and a lot of it is finding what you're lacking from your diet and supplementing those things. Especially useful if you have allergies and can't get enough of x nutrient or whatever through your diet. I'd recommend everyone to experiment with noots/supps definitely did a lot for me and will get back on them when I can spare the money.

>>21756424>>mushrooms contain almost no nutritional valueI always heard they have traces of more rare nutrients. I think the differences in reports have to do with their low calorie and high water content, so nutrition by weight.
going to buy some at the market on thursday because of this threadWhat recipes do people recommend with them? I understand they cook very differently to typical grocery store brown mushrooms
