Chili is the perfect food and all I care about.
>>
I love you too, sweet cakes
>>

It's not chili without beans. Only third worlders eat it like this. That is not real chili.
>>
if it was perfect you wouldn't need to add cheese and sour cream and chives bud
>>
>>21750141
Only third worlders eat beans. Richer people eat meat, not filler like rice and beans. Only potatoes are acceptable as a filler food and those don't go in chili

Fact, store bought chili with no beans is close to a dollar more than with beans from the same brand. That's because beef is more expensive than beans, retard
>>
>>21750178
The "beans" debate comes from coasties who have no chili culture and shouldn't be allowed to make it. They make chili with tomatoe sauce sometimes exclusively leaving out chili peppers entirely, aside from maybe some whole chunks of green pepper and of course, more beans than meat. That's not chili, it's tomato and bean stew
>>

>No Bean Chili
Chili doesn't have beans by default. If you add beans you're not making chili. You're making some kind of mexican slop dish. Beans should be outlawed.
>>
>>21750182
>bean stew
if you add beans to chili then fuck you. if you add beans to anything you should be put in re-education camps. beans are not food, it's poop.

You can even put it in burritos. I don't know why more people don't do this at home.
>>
>>21750440
I only recently found out people eat chili plain. I always had it on top of a carb. Chili burrito is new to me though.
>>
>>21750458
i eat mine with rye bread, it's heavenly

I don't like storebought tortillas and I'm too lazy to make my own.
there's a really good mexican food truck a block and a half from my house though so I still eat a bunch of burritos
>>
>>21750568
You're too lazy to make tortillas, but not too lazy to make chili? Something doesn't add up here.
>>
>>21750574
chili is easy you just chuck all the ingredients into a pot and boil it until it's thick
>>
>>21750578
Tortillas are easy too.
>>
>>21750592
I'm too lazy to knead dough. I don't bake bread either.
>>
>>21750458
Well chili is often eaten with crackers, which is a carb. Oyster crackers or club are traditional. Moving it to bread forms is more or less a different version of the same thing

Chilli goes on pasta, with onions crackers and cheese
>>
>>21750458
even in a burrito it could use some rice to give it structural integrity

nice
>>
>>21750106
Eh, it's not perfect, but as slop foods go it is quite good.
>>
>>21750106
chili cheese fries with sour cream is near perfect
>>
beyond the beans vs no beans thing I've come to realize that the biggest hold up with chili is how spooked people are of putting any real amount of chilis in their chili. if you look at most common recipes they only have maybe 1 or 2 tablespoons of chili for a couple pounds of meat and who knows how much beans and tomato or god forbid fucking corn. their "chili con carne" is maybe like 2% chili at most. if you suggest that chili peppers should be the second most common ingredient after beef they freak out. they'll say "woah that's way too much" or "how will you be able to taste anything else?" as if somehow chili was supposed to taste like something other thank chilis.

Just made some whole chunk chilli.. would do it more often as its really delicious but i try to eat rice as my carb and i feel chili with rice or pasta is disgusting.. maybe when i get into the habit of regularly baking rice bread i will do it more often. For now it will stay a vice because of the potatoes and will not be consumed regularly.
Have to try it with sweet potatoes tho, as that would make it actually healthy and not inflammatory with the bread or potato combo..

Oh and the potatoes are instant ones because i can be really lazy sometimes, but the products only ingredients is dehydrated potatoes with no emulgators or preservatives or any fucking chemical, so its basically the same shit as regular potatoes

On the rancher days, when there was no meat. We used beans. Typically it's used with meat. If you can't accept that then that's a you problem.

Not everyone is an autistic Texan or classist retard, anon. Some people like a chili that's hearty without being heart attack inducing (although I do agree with you on the peppers, if chili doesn't make you sweat it's not chili).

I was calling OP sweet cakes in louse of his love for chilli in which the context suggests "sweet cakes" may in fact refer to corn bread and I referring to OP's relationship with chilli as being similar to that of corn bread and chilli but alas you are unable to interpret the subtle poetry of language and I have to sound it out for you phonetically like you are some handicapped child and I'm teaching you your abc's.
