Ok anti seed oil people, which one of these should I get?
Avocado oil.
Anything is good, just avoid avocado oil unless you like cancer
>>21755004Tallow and Her and Duck fat
>>21755004Fake fats are a huge concern of the industry seed oils arent actually bad for you so surprise surplus of avocado oils are infused with cheaper seed oils no one noticing cause placebo is real
>>21755020Isn't avocado oil a seed oil?
>>21755004GHEEHEE
>>21755004Olive oil. What the fuck are you using oil even for ? Olive oil is the only thing you need.
>>21755004Different oils for different purposes, I use coconut oil to brush my teeth but tallow to cook fries, what are you making?
>>21755004>general usegiant tub of ghee>fancy roast potatoesduck fat>chips/friesbeef tallow>skipwagyu anything other than fatty meat cubes is a meme scam)bacon anything is pointless, just strain and keep your own
>>21755052Avocado oil is primarily derived from the flesh of the avocado fruit, rather than from its seeds. just like olive
you guys dont save the rendered fat from your food?you dont ask the butcher for fat trimmings?
>>21755004For me, its paying $0 for something unhealthy and not eating it either.Sneed.
>>21755004All of them except>duck fat in sprayImagine the chemicals they need to make this workBuy regular duck fat in a jar>bacon greaseThat's just lard for retardsAlso, just buy lard, it's the cheapest out of all of these and the most multipurpose animal fat.
>>21755004Coconut oil is great for crammin
Beef tallow if you like flavour
>>21755004ghee, duck, tallow, lard, in no particular oil
>>21755004lard in 5gal bucket.
>>21755115what?
>>21755004>14 oz = 396 g but sometimes 397 g for fucks sake
>>21755004>Olive Oil in NON DARK CONTAINERS = higher risk of being adulteratedThose are all good options. With Coconut oil, you're looking for Cold Pressed/Expeller Pressed (not-refined). Avoid PORK lard, their fat content shifts with the seed slop they're fed more readily than Beef. Tallow will have the highest temperature stability unless you're getting the most premium/fresh EVOO. Algae Oil is the one tier higher as regards burnpoint (and doubles for Fish Oil Omega 3 supplement).
>>21755052>Isn't avocado oil a seed oil? It's tree meat. The thing with it is, that technically, it's is rancid or will go rancid very quickly. Still potable, but not as nutritionally optimal as eating the stuff fresh peeled.
>>21755004None, adding more saturated fats into your diet is objectively worse than the seed oil boogeyman.
>>21755506>Algae Oil is the one tier higher as regards burnpoint (and doubles for Fish Oil Omega 3 supplement).Does it actually have omega 3? I see a lot of algae oil supplements that only have EPA or DHA, finding both is less common. Or some say they have DPA and I dunno what that is. And this algae oil for cooking on Amazon I'm looking at just says it has omega 9, another says "good fat" and "low omega 6" but nothing about omega 3.I take a good quality algae oil supplement that has both EPA and DHA in higher amounts and it seems to give me all the benefits of fish oil without the burps and weird stomach feeling but it's not cheap unfortunately and the algae cooking oil is also pretty expensive.
I'm jealous of this. For real. You don't know how good you have it.In Belgium everyone is just using margarine, refined seed oils and if you're lucky, butter. It's literally impossible to find animal fats in stores, you won't even find ghee unless in some obscure bio stores.I render my own tallow from fat I buy from a farmer and buy ghee online from Germany and occasionally I drive by an oldschool butcher place that sometimes has some lard.
>>21755512Do you have any clue how many variants of saturated fatty acids there are? Some are bad, some aren't.I wouldn't expect you to know ofc
>>21755004peanut oil
>>21755512W R O N GRONG
>>21755506I don't trust this "algae oil". It's definitely full of chemicals and cancer.Smoke point is not something that should be taken into serious consideration either.
>>21755004Grass fed unpasturized butter ideally. Beef tallow is also good.
>>21755004Retards here worry about seed oils. In Africa they use transformer oil to fry their food and yet look at the size and potency of their black cocks.. I've literally seen men with yard long black cocks dangling between their legs
>>21755565Some are bad and some are less bad. Especially when compared to PUFA. The only saturated fats that have not shown to be harmful are the ones in Yogurt.
>>21755004just steam everything keep both camps mad at you
>>21755713Boil all the stuff you dont steam>>21755004That duck fat aerosol is great but FYI towards the end of the can the sprayer gets a bit wonky. You might have to shake it up to get it to spray
>>21755560I wouldn’t have expected that, is it just that people there don’t really care or the stores just refuse to stock good stuff?
>>21755004For those prices, none of them. The $8 tallow would be nice to have around if you're trying to impress someone with your cooking, but for basics, what you do is go to the stores website and order a 4 lb bucket of lard for like $20. Snowcap is the best, but I've found it out of stock for a while now. Armour isn't great but it does the trick, what I've been using the last few months. Even with daily usage, 4 lbs will last you half a year.
lmaooo imagine paying 8-12 dollars for 397g of animal discard not even goat butter costs as much
>>21755004Beef tallow or extra virgin olive oil
>>21756206shelf stable lard is hydrogenated and has the same problems as sneed oilsit tastes good, though
>>21755004imagine buying bacon grease instead of making your own. grim
>>21755661*nigger dicks on his mind
>>21755004Wagyu beef tallow for fancy flavor Beef tallow itself is a good moisturizer but also fine to cook Pure tallow is just strained tallow. Removes some of the flavor you get due to the bits Duck fat for frying stuff shallow id say, great flavor Ghee has a super high smoke point and is also fineOlive oil green for saladsYellow Olive oil for frying small things
>>21755004>he doesn't save his beef/pork drippings for future useI shiggy diggy
>>21755004Canola oil
Ghee more like... Ghay
>>21755004Just get a bucket of lard.
>>21756670wowzers....that's a new one
>>21755077>Olive oil. What the fuck are you using oil even for ? Olive oil is the only thing you need.Man WHAT?
>>21755077>>21756688>I'm an oil man.Insanely checked.
>>21755664wouldn't that make milk and cheese fine too
>>21755031>seed oils arent actually bad for youAnything you need to use a petroleum-based solvent to extract is not something you should be ingesting. You're like those pregnant women that tried to OD on Tylenol because Trump said it might be a bad idea.
>>21755004Render your own animal fat cause shit's easy
>>21755004I bought a pound of bacon and fried it on low heat and strained it through a paper towel and got a decent amount of bacon grease.
>>21755077retard
>>21755004For deep frying - refined coconut oil or tallowFor everything else - olive oil (greek because of italian mafia jews mixing in canola), suet, butter, lard. There’s little else you need
>>21755004>Ok anti seed oil peopleThey'll recommend organic, natural, chemical free cyanide.Just get the jar of duck fat. Vegetable oils are only good when you want to use something with a neutral flavor.
>>21756661Only time I save tallow from cooking is when making duck or beef stock in the winter. Nice to just put the pot outside and collect the fat from the top. (It's too big for the fridge). Otherwise I don't bother
>>21755004Ghee.
>>21755004Tallow for frying and lard for baking. Get the cheapest by weight because there's no actual difference.
>>21757847>are those... HYDROCARBONS?????>AIIIIEEEEEE BEEF TALLOW PRESERVE ME
water. steaming is superior
>>21756187the latter is caused by the former I imagine
>>21755004Go with what the pros use.
>>21755004You should make your own at home.
>>21756661Based>>21757861Based>>21755560>render my own tallow from fat I buy from a farmerBased
>>21755004I spent $70 for a 50lb box of tallow. Grocery stores don't even sell it in any amount.Lard is fucking awful unless you want everything to smell of bacon.
Just use store brand butter duh. It's cheap. It works.
>>21761265I see 14oz of tallow at my preferred Walmart for $7.97.
>>21755095Hello saar
