Another decade of this humiliation ritual

And no, I wont stop performing it because I know the alternatives.

>heat up non stick pan
>NOOO, not THAT hot. You're break it!
>Cancer lol
>You're scratching it, only scrub with your hands.
>It is sticking because you need to pay $86.03 to unlock the non stick properties, but you only paid $86.02!
>Replace it every 2 months, otherwise all bets are off

It's like trying to buy a new bath towel that doesn't lint. Not possible. Just use a tightly woven tea towel to dry off.

buddy i have never had anyone concern me with any of that shit.
you're earnestly bad at cooking. everyone starts there. that's it. it's not easy to make eggs with stainless steel, but your mindset is holding you back from reaching that level.

I never go above medium on my glass top range and I use a lid. I've had my OXO non stick pan for like 10 years and it works just as great as when I first used it it also does quite anything I need it to do. If I really want a pretty product with a sear I use my cuisinart griddler.

Seems like a skill and ignorance issue you have there. Use better materials. This isn't the 50s anymore. Stop wasting your money on 3000 year old tech like cast iron and 100+ year old tech like stainless steel. Plus, modern non sticks can handle higher heat than just 10 years previous. Look specifically for one's that do. I don't need to but I have seared on a hex clad at my friends house and it worked well.

As I type this, I am trying a new method of cooking eggs where I use a bed of onions to create an insulation layer between the eggs and the pan, and I'm hoping that the onions don't stick too much, but I think this experiment is failing because I still need to mix the eggs up.

Here are the results. Again, not good. I ended up mixing up the eggs and onions together and now there's the typical layer of burnt stinky eggs on the pan. But at least I don't notice the smelly burnt egg smell when I'm eating the eggs on my toast. And I need to toast my bread in the pan because my cheap ass black and decker toaster blew itself up. Sad, but oh well I'll never buy another toaster again.

Why are you people afraid of good pans that don't stick? This was $50, it's titanium and it's not covered in some flimsy film. It's perfect for anything really. You can just feel the surface with your finger and know it's not some 'forever chemical' thing you need to fear. And you're not going to blast it on high with nothing in it like a moron anyway.
I've been through several less-than-impressive nonsticks in the last few years, and this one really has been great.

I'm dead serious. I don't know why the story isn't believable to you, but I get acne from oil, butter, lard, ghee, all that gross disgusting shit. I only eat extra lean ground beef, but that's rare because it's 9$ per pound, outrageous

I've also noticed lately, when I eat ground beef, my eyes, like my eyelids, get incredibly greasy and they feel wet all day. I have to go and dry them and they still feel wet and it's just awful. So I just avoid all that lard and shit.

I need to follow my body's orders.

Just invest $20 - $30 on a good 6" egg pan from a restaurant supply store. The kinds the diners use. Keep a towel over the surface so it doesn't get dinged and only use it for your scrambled eggs. You won't need much oil and it won't stick. You're never going to pull it off with stainless. It's a fool's errand.
>>

i've only once attempted frying eggs on staineless steel. i did like 8 of them at once and it turned out fine. not sure if i got lucky or what.

I'm not that guy, but it sounds like a blood sugar problem, as much as you think it's a greasy food problem. Look into wearing a device to track spikes from foods with high glycemic index.
>>
>>21756885
I get that you’re having a problem, have you tried vegetable and seed oils? I know a lot of people are convinced they’re cancerous but based on this post it seems like you’re struggling with animal based fats. Lastly have you talked to a doctor lol
>>
I'm pretty sure there's some Ron Popeil gadget or some modern 'As Seen On TV' product that produces a fat-free scrambled egg. Look into that.

I myself once owned these weird little clay kettle things with lids that were specifically for microwaving eggs. They had a big hollow handle like an empty toilet paper tube, and you added a teaspoon of water and the egg and put on the lid and microwaved it for 90 seconds for a perfect egg. And if you beat it first it'd be like a scrambled egg patty. Worked pretty well, but I like butter and bacon fat and stuff so I never used it much. Get those.
But you're getting into 'godbless' territory with the levels of ridiculous autism you're displaying. Listen to people and stop burning eggs on that fucking stainless dry pan. You're just wasting/ruining food.
>>
>>21756895

Doctors can't help with acne. Accutane is a meme that'll fuck up your gut. I have Crohn's now. I tried accutane when I was in highschool.

Doctors aren't magical beings, and my most recent visits to 3 doctors left me feeling scared and alone. Here is why.

>Looking for solution to my swollen eyelid
>first doctor was an old white man. He had his ears pierced, and had a tranny stare. I kid you not. He didn't listen to me and gave me a topical antibiotic despite no infection on the surface of the skin.
>second was a NP who I paid $50 to see. I really didn't want my eyelid to swell up like it had before. She told me my eye was not swollen with a stupid fucking grin that said "haha white boy, nothing you can do, I relish this opportunity to be the deciding factor of your destruction". I wanted to smack her hard. But instead I asked her "so my eyes look symmetrical to you" and she said no. Total bitch.
>3rd visit, online appointment. Cancelled. "Sorry, you can't see a doctor more than once a day".

The Canadian healthcare system has gone down the toilet and there is nothing I can do except medical tourism.

I hate the antichrist.

t. Canadian.

OP, buy a heavy bottomed ceramic lined pan in the correct size for your portion of eggs, and use a silicone scraper and a kind of wiping and flipping motion when moving them around to doneness. I use olive oil or 50% butter/50% olive oil.
If you want no butter, or enjoy it on dry toast, whatever, a little oil isn't unhealthy, it's how you access your fat soluble vitamins in your nutritional intake.
>>
>>21756905
I don't understand your healthcare, but I do know 80% of the patients in the north of the US are Canadians who went over the border for exactly what care they wanted.

You can fix acne with a good doctor, 60 days of doxycycline while you do some remedial peels and facial care. Then, it's just about the hormones, which is easier to fix for women.

Did you ever see an eye doctor?
>>
>>21756905
I wonder what caused it to decline so hard, bummer. In any case, if you want to be a pussy and not fight for yourself, carry on. Healthcare is a bitch in America too, i could share my story of not being believed, doing all of the research, and fighting for treatment as well. It’s a quality of life decision, i wish you the best of luck, genuinely.
Back to your diet, you didn’t really answer my question. How do you handle vegetable and olive oil? If poorly, you should get used to shallow poaching things. The chrons diet is similiar to what i had to do when i was struggling but i could at least use olive oil
>>
>>21756958
I've used doxycycline before when an infection clamped my eye shut. A few other times too, for counter measures. I like that drug. It's saved me. Might get it online.

>Did you ever see an eye doctor?
Sort of.
>Regular doctors
>Optometrists
>An ophthalmologist who made a small incision on my eyelid and removed a small amount of pus. We thought I had a small chalazion. He used a little scoop between my outer and inner eyelid skin. He probably severed the two tissues and now my one eyelid is always prone to being puffier, and getting infections within the skin, not on the surface

Every medical professional points to someone else. Go see your GP, to a dermatologist, go BACK to your ophthalmologist. I did all that. The ophthalmologist is a good man. Iranian. But he can't do anything about this.

Despite the repeated infections, many think I'm being superficial.

>>21756973
We can't change the medical system. We can just keep making appointments.

I need to test olive oil. I know vegetable oil produces a bad reaction.

Doing your own research can really help, it just depends on delivery. Like, if you put together your own hypothesis you have to explain it to your doctor using the words specific to the condition you think you have. And yeah, specialists are a thing for a reason. It’s a pain but realistically bodies are very complicated.

Good luck trying olive oil!! And give shallow poaching the eggs and a veggies a try. Vegetable broth would probably be a safe bet. Make sure the liquid is hot enough that it’s at least making small bubbles.
>>
>>21755108

The pan needs to be just the right temperature, if its not hot enough it will stick totally like in your picture, if its too hot it will stick too..
You just need to figure out the right temp, if you did any research you seen the water test where you drop a little water and observe if the water droplets are hovering. That's the right temp, if its too hot the water beads will brake up.. just find the right temp
>>

This. Maybe he watched McDougall stuff or old infomercials that claim you can "fry with water". It's total bullshit, especially with stainless steel. Those pans are specifically for meats and flours and stuff sticking to them to create fond to deglaze and release those maillard flavors. In restaurants we have stacks of those and the breakfast cooks have stacks of nonstick egg and crepe pans with hand towels in between to protect the surface. They have completely different uses.
OP is just like the fucking 'godbless' guy in terms of just stubbornly rejecting reason and ruining a lot of food.
