All fucking tea tastes the fucking same.

Some tea tastes good and some tea tastes bad, so no it does not taste the same, otherwise you're saying good and bad is the same. checkmate.

if you keep buying the same tea of course it will taste the same. try something different. compare matcha, rooibos, guayusa, oolong, herbal, they're all very easy to distinguish. even two bags of earl grey with different herbs added to each can taste remarkably different.

Technically, those are infusion teas that don't come from the tea plant, but you're right.

Try actually comparing them, fruit tea and herbal tea tastes very different, you can add milk to one of them but not the other. I personally only add milk to black tea. Also, follow instructions and don't let the tea steep for any longer than it's steeping time and make sure the water temperature is correct for whichever tea you're using (herbal and black is usually ~100°C but with green tea it's around 80°C and so on)

Yeah, tea sucks. I've never had a cup of tea and didn't think "wow, this just tastes like dirty hot water."

Start with Earl Grey. The bergamot flavour really helps. If you’re getting tea bags look at the packaging and see the percentage of bergamot, get something with a higher percentage. Certain tea bags only have bergamot essence, make sure to get something with real bergamot.
