I do own cook books and the only one I used was the Flavor Bible in order to scour for recipe ideas. Most of the others I tossed out. Normally, I mine the books for recipes and then make them. If the recipe is good, I write it in my notebook for future use, then toss the book. If it's not I toss the book.The few that remain are just decoration.
