Is there anything truly special and worth eating in/around Didneylan/Anaheim?I also need to consider feeding my (usually not picky) 5-year-old. First time I'll be visiting and don't mind driving a few miles. And yeah I know. Don't be shitty about it.
please don't mention your kids on this board. It's distasteful and awkward for all involved.
>>21756158The dole whip and churros were cool. The only other thing I remember getting was this bread bowl thing near the haunted mansion but idk if it was good or not.
>>21756158I've only been to Florida Disney back in the 90s, I went several times and while I don't remember anything that really stood out, overall everything was at least decent quality or better, so I'd say pick your or your kid's favorite theme or area of the park and you shouldn't be disappointed, but idk if quality has gone down since then like it has in many other areas.
>>21756164fpbphave some consideration
>>21756158>Going to pro abortion yidn*y with your childAt least wait till he/she's younger, your child won't remember shit
>>21756164>>21756183I'd rather offer a sacrificial lamb than be labeled a Disney Adult.
>>21756158wtf is Didneylan/Anaheim
>>21756401Disneyland in Anaheim California.
>>21756158Club 33. Obviously no number of fine meals per anum justifies the price the price (the juice ain't worth the squeeze, as you worker bees would say) but also obviously nothing else in any of the parks is even remotely on the same level. The prole tier slop can scarcely be called food in comparison.
>>21756158In Disneyland, the only thing really worth eating is those corn dogs they sell in the little red wagon on main st.Right outside of Disneyland though, there are a couple really good dessert spots>joe’s Italian ice for the one of the best gelato you’ll find on the west coast>m&m donuts for the best blueberry donuts you’ll ever eat. Only open later at night though, at 9pm>if you’re in the mood for some of the best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam, travel a bit further down south to Westminster/garden grove, also known as little saigon
>>21756158The Ranch is a top tier restaurant by Disneyland.
>>21757709>>21758064These sound good, I will check into them, thank you,
>>21757266I remember going before when the privilege extended much further down the line of sponsors' employees. Probably about over a decade ago, they tightened the leash on who exactly could get in there and my family lost the ability to visit the park at a reasonable price. It used to be that a reservation at Club 33 got you into the park basically for free, and then you only had to pay the price of your meal. What is the solo membership fee now, like $100k on a waitlist?
>>21756158No. My parents took me multiple times as a kid. It's just fast food but even more pricey than other parks. Rarely it's shaped like mickey or whatever. If you go to one of the "fancier" sitdown places it's just normal food but two niggas in a Donald or Winnie the Pooh costume will be there.
>>21756158Over time, your kid will barely remember their time at the expensive venues. They'll just remember spending time with you.Food for thought
>>21758424Correct, the annual fee is tens of thousands at least. Six figures probably gets you up on the wait list.
>>21759544You're right, I just don't want to feed everyone pure hot garbage and sugar for 3 days straight.
>>21756158In-N-Out
>>21756158Isn't 5 a bit young for Disneyland? Why not wait 1 or 2 years? Unless you're planning on visiting Disneyland again with your child in 2 years.I don't think you can go wrong with churros, but those are probably the safe option rather than the super special Disneyland exclusive dish you're looking for. If you haven't had any churros before, you're missing out though.
>>21760422>pure hot garbage and sugarThen why are you posting that in your picture? People will get the wrong idea. I thought you were asking about special candy.
>>21760431I haven't had any from Disney before. That will be on the list. We're going in April, so he'll be more like 5 and a half. His cousins went to Disneyland in the summer and they told him all about it and showed him pictures, so of course now it's all he talks about. My wife went with her family a lot as a kid, so she totally egged him on. We're telling him what's happening on Christmas Day. I think it'll be fun. >>21760435I just assume fast food and desserts are the main types of food you can get. I browsed a handful of the restaurant menus online and saw a lot of chicken strips, pizza, and burgers. That's fine and all for a few meals, but a cranky kid at the end of a 3-day sugar and junk food high sucks.I just googled Disneyland food and that was a nice result. Sorry. It was a little misleading.
I likeSmoked turkey legsDole whipBeignets with mint julepsIf I were you, I would avoid spending a ton of money in and around the park and focus it on one specific dinner where you give them a truly amazing experience, like the ones where the characters come around to the tables.
>>21760464That's a good idea. I'll add that to my list.
>>21760507I can tell you - as a kid who went to Club 33 and some other nice Disney stuff, I definitely remember Pluto coming around to my table and serving me some pancakes more than anything. And, for some odd reason, this science/wizard show they had at Universal Studios where you could order this "science kit" to mix drinks.
>>21756158Go to Joe's Crab Shack. Shit is delicious and sea themed so your five year old will love it. It's pretty close to Disneyland from what I can recall. Roscoe's house of Chicken and Waffles is delicious.Avoid Salt and Straw. They sell weird ass ice cream flavors your picky five year old will hate. Also seconding the Little Saigon recommendation. Anywhere you go will be good there. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Porky's Pizza in Huntington Beach is the shit, but it's a drive and it isn't sit down so only go there if you want to do something there like going to the Bolsa Chica ecological reserve.
>>21756158>Trader Sam's Tiki Bar>Star Wars whatever barCalifornia Adventure has the real food. Excepting the Bayou place in the Pirates section. The rice krispies are pretty decent.
