I have a job interview at McDonald's tomorrow and haven't worked in a kitchen for ten years. I cook my own food all the time but not sure how I will take the fast-paced environment. When I worked in food and hospitality, it was in mobile catering.

Every job interview is essentially a vibe check to see if you have the same personality or a same enough personality to the people already there. Can you deal with a rush and deal with a slow period. Are your jokes the type that will land well or are you on a completely different entertainment planet than everyone at the place? Hell even when I got some Holiday Helper job at Macy's one year they gave me a vibe check interview just to make sure I could work with the other randos they hired.

work at waffle house, they hire anybody. you get two weeks of morning shifts, a test, then you're in, and it's actually cooking.i've done fast food, wendys, and it was just listening to timers beep for the entire shift. fast food is just dropping meat into fryers or on the grill, setting the timer, and waiting for it.
