I have a job interview at McDonald's tomorrow and haven't worked in a kitchen for ten years. I cook my own food all the time but not sure how I will take the fast-paced environment. When I worked in food and hospitality, it was in mobile catering.

what the fuck did you do the past ten years to resort to working at mcshits
>>
>>21758633
I'm sure you'll do a better job than that pretentious autistic Mexican tripfag on /tv/ that would type in all caps.

Worked in academia, sustainability, a call centre, self-employed writer and editor, law firms, etc. I'm mainly a writer and think this job at McDonald's will do me good. I just need a mindless job that pays rent so I have enough to save. My dream is to write a novel that I have outlined, and I can probably do it in 2-3 years if I set time aside on weekends or weeknights.

Thanks!

You don't need to know ANYTHING to get the job. Why is there even an interview? If you can walk upright you have the position. The fact that you have prior experience in cooking means you'll probably be managing the place in a few months.
WTF, how are you so dumb?
>>

Nevermind, I didn't read this.

>McDonald's

anon...

I don't think you've ever had a job before.

And i thought I WAS the resident fuckup.
Just kidding i design electronics and my designed products (which i did as the sole design Engineer, we are a small company) are in >10k homes across Europe. But my family does not know, nor do they care

Nice blog.

I live in a country that pays $19 usd for minimum wage. Lots of these jobs are harder to get than the other jobs I've worked.
>>
>>21758720
Thank you i wrote it myself
>>
>>21758633
Hope you like working with teenagers blacks and mexicans
>>

An interview for a fucking mcwagie job is a humiliation ritual. Mcniggers used to beg people to work for them. Too bad trump hasn’t deported enough illegals yet.
>>
>>21758820
I live in a country that isn't America. As I said, the job pays $19 USD an hour. Why would they not have an interview for that?
>>
>>21758802
>teenagers mexicans
Stop, i can only get so erect

Us and Canada are the only ones that use dollar retard. Which one are you?

That's ideal, actually. If you're overqualified(read:recent experience in a proper kitchen) they won't hire you because you'll be likely to ask for better pay. "Yeah I've worked in a kitchen before but it's been a while" says you know what you're doing but you don't give too much of a shit for the job.

This.
Also you just have to make sure you vibe well with the people involved. Are you gonna be able to be part of that specific team, work in a way that is work and not make people uncomfortable.
Every job interview is essentially a vibe check to see if you have the same personality or a same enough personality to the people already there.
Can you deal with a rush and deal with a slow period. Are your jokes the type that will land well or are you on a completely different entertainment planet than everyone at the place?
Hell even when I got some Holiday Helper job at Macy's one year they gave me a vibe check interview just to make sure I could work with the other randos they hired.

Australia, retard. Plenty of countries use the dollar.

>My dream is to write a novel that I have outlined
I'll be the first to ask - what's the novel about?
>>
>>21760395
Post-apocalyptic (post-nuclear war) cyberpunk detective novel about a plot by ecoterrorists who want to steal the last non-GMO tree seeds stowed away in a government seed vault
>>
>>21760432
That sounds like a good hook. I believe in you anon
>>
>>21760432
Good luck with the book! If you don’t like the fast food job try for security guard or go to a white collar temp agency.
>>
>>21758633
You're over qualified and this is a significant problem. You could clearly moonlight higher end catering.
>>
work at waffle house, they hire anybody. you get two weeks of morning shifts, a test, then you're in, and it's actually cooking.
i've done fast food, wendys, and it was just listening to timers beep for the entire shift. fast food is just dropping meat into fryers or on the grill, setting the timer, and waiting for it.

kek
You mean you provided contracted "writing services" (basic transcription or data entry) for clients who were in academia, sustainability, law firms, etc. Only a "self-employed writer" could claim to work in academia and law firms while applying for a McDonald's job.

Actually I've done a lot of restaurant hiring. That's why I know that OP is super overqualified for any position at Mcdonalds.
