Do you go out to eat alone?I don't like to sit down at full service places alone, I mostly go to counter service/grab and go places.
>>21772010Yeah, every now and again. These days places are so UberEats/whatever focused that it can be kinda awkward, but as long as it's not peak dinner hours you're fine, nobody cares.
>>21772010I'm all for it if they have a bar. I'm happy to have a beer or three, watch the game, and mess around on my phone for a bit. I'm not going to really sit down at a restaurant at a table by myself that has nothing else, instead of getting it to go.I used to travel for work a decent amount, so it's natural.
>>21772041this, just sit at the bar. Some zoomers tending bar have started to get the picture that solo diners actually enjoy talking to other patrons, and expect it from the bartender. that's why we choose to sit next to each other instead of alone at a 2top.
>>21772010No, not even at a fast food restaurant. I will eat in my car.
>>21772010I don't mind eating at a restaurant alone vs with others, but I'd rather just not eat at any restaurant at all
As long as they have proper seating--i.e., booths with high walls--it's okay. Anything other than that, they don't actually want you there, don't want your patronage.
Outside of a walking lunch or a small snack, I've not eaten alone in ages. Marriage will do that to you.
>>21772010and then you just eat in the alley like a rat?
Yeah i don't mind grabbing a burger or some pasta by myself. As long as it's a good restaurant with good food and drinks. If i can sit at the bar and chat with the local old guys it's even better but just having a meal by myself is nice too.
>>21772434yes, problem?
>>21772010i always eat alone. i prefer itother people just bring confusion and drama and expectationsi don't feel awkward at all being alone at a restaurantor any establishment
