Lots of different things. Steaks, Rice a Roni, Chorizo & Eggs, white vs. yellow corn tortillas, late night snacks, guacamole, and whatever comes up going forward.

Also, I'm poor and I don't know how to cook. My food isn't fit for dogs or hobos.
Now that that's out of the way we don't need any more posts with that kind of sentiment.

This is easier than the pasta variations that you have to cook in butter, pilaf style, before adding everything else.

One of the first things that I read in a cookbook was a guy saying when you cook a steak in a pan, the more different fats you use the better it tastes. So I've got olive oil and butter here.
I recently tracked down the book and ordered myself another copy. I haven't seen it for over twenty years.

A really fantastic plate of food here. The onions and the crispy salty chorizo and the cheese, the cool salsa, just enough runny yolk.

I recommend making this if you've never tried it before. You can do it scrambled like most people; I usually do. But this is good too.

I've never gotten the point of edibles. It's a pain in the ass process to end up with food that tastes like shit and doesn't get you high until like an hour and a half after you've eaten it. You also pretty much have to guess how much to eat to get to your desired level of stoned. Maybe you'll barely catch a buzz, maybe you'll be uncomfortably fucked up, who knows.
Why not just smoke your weed, get exactly as high as you want to in like 10 minutes, and then eat food that tastes good.

After a while you get to know what each dose does. And I like the taste of it. It pairs well with cinnamon and chocolate. And you can still taste the booze, so it's almost like a rum cake. It hits with the power of about 50 mg for a tablespoon of that stuff, and the tincture it came from has about that much in a half teaspoon.
If you eat about half the cake first and the other half a couple hours later it's not too much to handle. I don't like being uncomfortable. I have things to do. It's my legal medicine and it doesn't get in the way.

This is the end steak; the ugliest of the bunch. Had some gristly parts so I butterflied it and cooked it well done. I like a well done steak sometimes. No point in endlessly chewing on some medium-rare chunk that's not fit to cook medium-rare. Buying whole subprimals at $5/lb is worth it. These are great problems to have.

You're right about the taste though, very noticeable except for when it's in brownies, which can be dangerous in it's own way if people unaware of space cake are snacking about.

Thanks. I've got a pack of bratwurst sized chorizo in the freezer I'm going to cook up. I don't like them so I need to find a way to incorporate them into something else. Or if they're not too spicy for the dog he can have them. Life's too short to eat bad food. 6 months in the freezer in their original packaging couldn't have done them any favors in the flavor department.

There's that stupid thread about how it's cheaper to eat at restaurants. HAHA!

I have a freezer full of steaks I got for $5/lb. Each 12 oz. steak is costing me about four bucks. There's no beating that. You can add up the cost of the freezer and all that semantic shit, but it doesn't make it cheaper or easier to eat at a steakhouse.

October. Every six months a supermarket about 25 miles away has "Meat Cutting Days", where they offer great prices if you buy the entire sub-primal cut. They will process it any way you like. I got a sirloin tip and two tri-tips for $5/lb, a NY for $8/lb and a Rib-eye for $9/lb. I had them just cut them all into 1" - 1.5" steaks for me. It was almost $400 but I got a ridiculous amount of beef. It would have cost well over a thousand had I bought it piecemeal at my local store.
I'm going to get a chest freezer and start buying sides of beef to get even better deals and more cuts of meat. The way prices are going up it's the only way to make eating a lot of beef economical, and that's important to me.

Cabbage has a lot of water too. There was no need to add any if you plan to cook covered.

Learn some fucking history, you nigger. The uneven marbling and grain of the tri-tip made it an undesirable cut for cooking initially so ranchers used to pass it along to the ranch hands and Mexican immigrant workers who would slow roast it over an open flame and learned to cross cut it correctly after a nice reverse sear.

Times have changed, dumbshit. People eat tri-tip steaks all the time and they're excellent as I continue to showcase for you ungrateful swine.
You can have your slow roasts and pretend what's clearly beautiful is an "undesirable cut", but it doesn't make you correct.

Join the 21st century, moron.
