The 15% is probably old people who can't absorb it well, they made vit d in oil that gets absorbed in the mouth for those. Well I personally take 6k IU regardless.

For northern populations, winter is the natural season to settle in and plan your moves for the warm season. And the warm season is when you should be planning and stocking up for winter. If you know you're gonna be feeling down then have whatever you need to bear it. Get a gym membership for when it's too shitty to spend time outdoors, pick out some comfy winter recipes, etc. Then when you're indoors all winter, figure out what you want to achieve in the spring and summer and plan it out. This is how Europeans lived for millennia before industrialization and reliable climate control

Most of the time supplements are a joke.
Even though the food supply has been seriously depleted of their nutrients due to the spent soils, getting your vitamins and minerals from organic foods is still the BEST way.
Also, to the fatties out there: C'mon guys, LOVE yourselves a little. COOK for yourselves and kick the shitty prepared food garbage. yeah, you might be okay now, but riding a fatty liver for a couple years and getting type 2 diabetes is NOT a thing you want to fuck around with.
Strange that T2D was considered a progressive incurable disease until 2021. Then when people started going low carb and keto T2D and insulin resistance started reversing, they had to change that statement.

Still, do you really want to watch your body fall apart in realtime,(sugar blindness, increased joint pain until it hurts to move, extreme fatigue, etc.) just from the foods you are eating?

Pills don't work, there is 0 evidence vitamin D reduces seasonal depression. The results are slightly better for light therapy, but it's still not proven to make much difference. Irradiating yourself with artificial UV is a dumb idea in any case. When there's no sun you just have to deal with it until it appears again.
