Are hot sauces using some cheaper ingredient nowadays that gives severe intestinal pain? Even a basic sauce like Frank's gives me trouble, yet when I tried a way hotter gourmet hot sauce I had no issues whatsoever. Other hot stuff like pepper flakes don't give me diarrhea either.

Is it really that hard to boil some shit in a pot then blend it?

They could be using more vinegar to cut costs.

Maybe you got a hotter lot. It is pretty heavy on the acidity. Otherwise, maybe sussy corn starch.

This sauce and most faggot sauces in the world ARE MISSING THE PART THAT OFFSETS THE BULLSHIT.
You are supposed to ferment hot sauce, these companies blend ingredients. If they say they ferment, they simply make their own white vinegar.

Take a big glass jar.
Add 2/3rds volume MASH consisting of:
2/3rds bell peppers, 1/3rd cayenne peppers, and one tomato.
Chop it all rough with garlic and a pinch of italian herbs.
Put it in the jar.
Put a coffee filter on top.
Add glass marbles of craft beads or something- neutral weight.
Fill to 1" under the top with water.
Add tbsp of salt per liter of jar volume.
Put a sandwich bag over the top with a pocket inside.
Now fill that with salty water too.
In two weeks blend it.

Getting old fucking sucks.
Had a pizza with too many hot pepper flakes and the next day I was almost crying on the toilet.

A few facts:
1) cayenne is 100% digestable, whereas black pepper is not.
2) diarrhea can be from gastric juice overdose, trigged by:
a) substance P irritation, burn in your stomach from the pepper
b) prediabetic metabolism issues digesting fat (in the fatty chicken wing skin and butter overload)
c) alcohol, esp beer which has gluten, or affects your sugar, ie isn't vodka.
Your fix depends on whether you need nexium, not to overindulge, or need to not binge drink.

Capcaisin is a bowel irritant. If you are an everyday user you are probably experiencing IBS symptoms. Lay off for a few weeks then try again.

This is why Tabasco remains king.

Gluten is literally a nonissue unless you have Celiac's or an allergy.

it's not that hot but the flavor is great

Crystal's is nice. It's similar to Tabasco.

Did you compare the ingredients list? Are other store brand sauces fucking you up?

That is super interesting, fermented products are supposed to be good for the gut!

It's great. It's probably the least hot of the louisiana style hot sauces, but has a great flavor. Crystal and Louisiana Hot Sauce are significantly more popular in Louisiana than Tabasco, which is really mostly a tourist/export thing. The problem with Tabasco is that its dominant flavor is capsaicin, you hit your heat limit before you get much chile pepper flavor.

Crystal is the less vinegary version of Tabasco. Louisiana brand sauce is also similar and not as vinegary too. Congrats on this upgrade. Tabasco brand does make a decent green version for straight up Jalapeno flavor.

i keep Crystal (cajun food), Cholula (eggs, and jamaican food) and Tapatio (all spanish foods). Mostly, I like to use fresh and dried whole peppers for heat, or pastes for asian foods. Calabrian chilies in the jar, or american versions of chili crisp, like Don Chilio or hot chutneys and other relishes.
