First time cooking a medium-rare steak. How does it look? Would you eat it? I also made a salad with rocket and pomegranate, dressed with olive oil and fig vinaigrette. I left two pieces because I got full pretty quickly. The steak was about 500 grams. It tasted insanely good, and it better have with all the butter I used to baste it. I am on a diet and this was my cheat meal, didn't have anything else all day.

Thanks, everyone. Here’s how it looked before cooking. I let it rest out of the fridge for about half an hour to reach room temperature, then patted it dry with a paper towel to help develop a better crust. It’s an Irish Black Angus cut, sourced from my local butcher in Athens.

Too much fat on the meat. Arugula and pomegranate is a gross salad. Nice charm bracelet and home decor though

>>21778327A bit inconsistently rare, should be more same-y throughout, could have been a bit chilled in the middle. I don't slice my entire steak from the beginning like that, keep the juices intact. Salad looks delicious, needs soft cheese and homemade croutons and more cracked pepper. Enjoy!
